I am writing this review to let anyone with a 2008-2010 C30 know that this hitch fits the early cars exactly the same as the 11-13. The only difference is you must remove the entire rear bumper vs the lower rear fascia. My C30 is a 2008.
Everything else is exactly as the instructions say.

Unit was fairly easy to install, took about an hour
The wiring on the other hand took much longer (removal of trim to hide the power wire, debating where to route the wires & how to get them from inside the car to outside to the battery). took about 3hrs

Recently installed this on my wife's 2013 C30 R-Design. We were looking for a hitch to mount some bicycles not tow. Very easy install once we got past how much force was required to unclip the bumper cover! Oh, and her 2013 C30 had holes punched in the rear of the bumper already so NO fishing required!

I would probably give it a three star, meaning average. The reason is that it replaced another from you that I bought seven years ago that failed due to corrosion and a weld failure. While it does get submerged in seawater regularly as I use it to tow a boat, there was no appreciable corrosion on the car. I've never had to replace a hitch connector due to corrosion or weld failure, so it did not meet my expectations.

You guys have a hitch that fits a Volvo C30. I sent the video tutorial you provided to a local installer and it went in without a hitch. (Sorry) I'm going to use it to mount a bike carrier. Everything was smooth and I couldn't be more pleased. Many thanks for a product I feared I'd never find.

I would highly recommend this company. They gave me wonderful help on the phone and it was shipped promptly. United Parcel Service beat up the box a little but because this is a very well made trailer hitch that had excellent packing it came through with no problem.

difficult to install had to drill a hole in frame to mount top bolt on passenger side of car. this is the third such hitch I've installed one on a Honda one a Subaru. it took three hours not 20-40 minutes per your spec's..

no problems- has definitely served its purpose. Ive pulled a few different styles of trailers loaded with motorcycles, sofas, mattresses, cabinets, tubs, and the list goes on... Im still occasionally frustrated by the power connection directly to the battery as I was not able to locate a way to go through the firewall, so my power cord attaches out the door and into the engine area with a detachable connection for when its not in use.overall happy though.
