I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and today we're taking a look at the replacement race, this is going to be the part that you need to replace a worn out or waddled out race, so this is going to fit the JM511946 trailer bearing and that's going to work for those bigger style axles, usually about 12,000 pounds or so, so this is going to be that direct replacement for that bearing. This is where that bearing rides along. It's going to be that nice smooth surface, so everything can move properly and smoothly as we're going down the road, that's a really important thing. You don't want to have any pitting or any scratches or mars in this race. You want everything to be nice and smooth as you can see here.
Now the outer diameter for this is going to be 4.331" and then the inner diameter is going to be 2.559, so again it is going to be that exact match for our bearing that you can see there on the screen.That's pretty much all there is to it. It's a good idea to pick up both while you're at it. If your race is damaged, there's a good chance that there might be damage elsewhere in your hub, so definitely check out all your components, make sure that whenever you're done, you pack everything with a nice, good, high quality grease, marine grease, if it's going to be on a marine trailer, or at least a high temp grease for those bigger axles, but that's pretty much going to do it for me.
