Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Timken replacement race. And this is a high quality 15245 race. This is going to work with all the bearing models that you see on the screen there. So if you have any of those and you're needing to replace the race, that it will fit inside of, this is gonna be a great option for you. This is very high quality.
It's a Timken product. And if you're not familiar, Timken is one of the most well-known and highly trusted brands in the industry because their products are engineered with higher quality controls which is going to ensure tighter tolerances and run out than other manufacturers. That helps to reduce vibrations and noise and lead to a longer life when you have it properly installed. And the higher quality is even evident in the way this product is packaged. So when you get it, it is going to come in a cardboard box inside a plastic protective bag.
So it is going to arrive in great condition. It is oiled. So overall, really good quality when you get it ready to install it and be ready to go. This does use the industry standard number that you can see printed on here, so that 15245, if I can get that light to not be too reflective there. So 15245 right there.
So if you see that on your current race, you'll know this is gonna be a very easy swap out, get it fit right in place of that original. If you don't see a number on your current race, the only other way to confirm would be to measure and it is a very precise measurement, so I would recommend having some digital calipers that go down to 10/1000 of an inch. So this outer diameter for this one is 2.4409 so you wanna make sure that that matches up if you can't find that industry standard number. But if you do see that industry standard number, that's obviously gonna be much easier. So you don't have to worry about that, extreme precision measuring that.
But overall, if you are needing to replace that race, this is gonna be a very high quality option for you. Make sure that everything is running smoothly.
