Securing the Cover onto Your Spare Tire
Before installation, it's recommended to lay the cover in the sun for a few minutes. This will let the material expand slightly, so it'll fit over your tire more easily. Then using the built-in elastic hem, slip the pliable cover around your spare tire for a snug fit. The hem prevents the cover from flying off your tire as you're driving down the highway, and the soft interior lining won't damage your wheel's paint job.

A previous trailer hitch receiver was not adequate for a bike rack with heavy mountain bikes. It developed cracks in the metal. There’s a fair amount of vibration for a bike rack at the back end of a camp trailer. I bought the Curt receiver to mount a 50# Kuat bike rack to carry two +50# e-bikes. So the load is +150# plus the torque of extending almost three feet from the receiver. Worked great. An observer noted the rack and bikes were quite stable.

I was a tad worried from other reviews but upon receiving the cover I have NO worries. The fit is tight, the seams are good, per etrailers video I put saran wrap around the spare then installed the cover. Went on great NO fuzzy residue that some experienced. This cover will work great for our trailer.

I am disappointed in the tire cover which I had put over my spare on my utility trailer about 1 year ago. Just had to buy and put white duct tape over the top edge of the cover because it had developed several cracks in the vinyl. The main reason I am trying to save this cover is because I also had purchased a large US Navy decal which I had put on the face of the wheel cover and I do not want to have to try and find another Navy decal if I replace the cover.

The covers went on easily and are still in place on my boat trailer in Florida. According to our caretaker there there have been several strong gusty storms and the covers were unaffected.

I'm giving it a Average rating because I just got it on the spare tire, my spare is mounted on the side of my open trailer, so we see if its stay's on going at HWY speeds? I had problems with a Adco Trailer cover that only made one summer and fell apart, The Spare Tire cover is made of a different material then the Adco trailer cover so I'm sure it will last longer. Time Will Tell.

While the customer service from etrailer is excellent, the quality of the spare tire cover leaves a lot to be desired. The seam is puckered leaving unsightly wrinkles. While the cover is functional, it really does not look very good.

Simple to put on and take off. Covers the outside area of the tire. Not a complete 'bag', the inside surface of tires may get some daylight. But, not direct sunlight.

The cover fit like a glove,is very attractive,and seems to be made from quality materials . The workmanship looks great- no wrinkles or bad seems. The price was a real bargain . I shopped everywhere for what I wanted, both local & the internet. Even with shipping, it was the best bang for my buck. It was half of some other covers that were pure garbage. 26” tire, got the 27” cover because the 26” didn’t fit and the 27” barely fits. It is bery tight. Don’t be afraid to go 2” over your tire diameter!

a nice tire cover and it looks good on the back of my trailer, I sold the trailer last summer and it looked great at the time of the sale.
