- Comparing 54 Yakima Tracks for Roof RacksThe correct 54" Yakima Tracks for a Camper Shell is part # Y26RR which will allow you to use any standard track mounted roof rack. The other options you listed, part # Y01127 and part # Y64MR are for metal roofs and ladder racks respectively. Since you have a fiberglass camper shell you don't need the version that comes with hardware for metal roofs and since you'll be installing the tracks on the roof of a camper shell you likely won't be using a ladder rack system which mounts to the tracks.

As long as you're able to cut it cleanly to where the end cap would fit back in place as it was before, you'll be good to go.
