Specs:
This collapsible step was specially designed for campers that have built-in basement storage. On these campers there is typically a large space between the door and the bumper, which can make it difficult to climb in and out of your camper. By simply bolting this step onto your camper's bumper, you can bridge that gap, allowing for carefree entry.
SureGrip tape on the step surface helps to ensure proper footing as you climb into or out of your camper. And like all GlowSteps, the collapsible step comes with premium glow-in-the-dark tape for excellent visibility at night. Each strip of tape requires only 5 minutes of light exposure for it to illuminate up to 10 hours.
Quick, Easy Installation and Operation
To install the collapsible GlowStep, just bolt the included mounting brackets onto your camper's bumper directly beneath the door threshold. Drilling will be required to properly anchor the step to your bumper.
To use the step, position the built-in braces on either side of the step so that brace the uprights against the bottom mounting bracket. Secure the braces in place with the supplied thumb screws and wing nuts. If you need to access your basement storage, just remove the screws and nuts, fold down the braces, and collapse the step.

Hey guys, this is Jake here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna go over some details and the measurements that you're gonna need to take if you're wanting to replace your fifth wheel or your travel trailer steps. If you're looking to replace your motor home or your RV steps, we're gonna have a separate video made just for that. Now, a couple of reasons why you might want to replace your steps. One of the biggest reasons is because people don't like these pull out steps because they're uncomfortable and makes for a not pleasant experience on the inside of the camper if they're folded out because they hover above the ground. When somebody steps on 'em, it rocks the whole camper.
So that might be a reason why you wanna upgrade from the pullout style steps to the fold out style which will fold up into the door of your camper. The nice part about the fold out is that they're going to be rested on the ground, so all the weight from the person walking into the camper is gonna be pushing on the ground and not pulling on the side of the camper. With that being said, a lot of people like this style because it's not gonna take up space on the inside of your door. So regardless of which kind you would like to go with, there's gonna be different measurements for each. There's gonna be a measurement for the pullout style if you wanna replace just the steps you have outside already.
And then there's gonna be different measurements for the fold up style, to be able to measure, you know, you're gonna have to measure from the ground to the inside and then side to side in the door. So, it's gonna be different because they're gonna be located in a different spot. Now, here we have a different set of pull down camper steps. The reason why I switched from my camper to these is because my camper, the bracket's actually welded in. If that's the case, you're just gonna have to cut it out.
But the reason we're showing you here is because these are bolted on and I'll be able to give you the proper measurements to replace 'em. So, first measurement you need to take is from this bracket, the bracket that's actually attached to your camper, not the step bracket, from the inside to the inside of these two brackets, which for us here is gonna be 27.5. And then what you need to do is you need to measure the depth of this bracket. So from this outer edge here to the trailer frame. Good for that.
We get about 13 and 3/8. And then the last measurement is from the ground. Now you wanna make sure you're on level ground and your camper is level from the ground to this bolt right here on the outside. So that. we're getting about 26 and 1/4. Now, if you're looking to upgrade to a set of fold-down steps that actually store inside of your camper, the two measurements that you need to take is from inside flange to inside flange, not the inside of the actual door frame, because it's gonna need to fit in between these flanges. So for us measure right up against there and we get about 24.5. You can see there. The other measurement we need to take is from the ground, again, being on level ground from the ground to the top inside of the threshold itself. So for us, it's going to be about 35. And the last thing that you need to do is you need to match up the measurements that you've taken, whether you're replacing your steps that came on your camper or you're replacing them and upgrading to the fold up type. You just need to match up those measurements to the measurements on our product page for the steps that you're looking for. Well, guys, hopefully this information was helpful in helping you to find the right information and the right measurements you need to replace your camper steps. If you have any questions, please leave 'em in comments below and we'll see you next time..

The perfect item to make easier access in and out of our Arctic Fox 1150. It work well with the Torklift glow steps. I love when folded down you can still access the storage tray. One very minor disappointment the instructions shows lock washer which my hardware pack did not have in it.
Excellent Add-on - Access either side now, Happy Wife, Happy Life!
I purchased this step to integrate with the Torklift 8" 4 step stairs on an Arctic Fox camper. As Arctic Fox is a basement style there is an access hatch directly beneath the door threshold that requires some sort of collapsable step. While there is no doubt that the step is well made I was surprised at what I though was an excessive price given the small size of the step. Additionally, the shipping box was nearly completely destroyed in shipment resulting in installation hardware scattered and missing. TorkLift needs to add internal support and cushion to the box so that I do not have to drive to a hardware store.
We have an 811 Artic Fox camper and the last step from the bumper to the camper is 12 inches and was getting hard to navigate. The 6" Torklift Glow Step is wonderful. Makes getting in and out of the camper much easier. Now I'm waiting for the Fox Landing to be available and that will make the camper complete.
Love the concept, still trying to get used to it being there!
Easy to install. Makes stepping into camper a breeze
Very sturdy and easy to install. Makes that last step into the camper much easier. Glow in the dark stripe could be larger and brighter.
I have purchased a ton of accessories made by TorkLift that I purchased from/through etrailer. TorkLift Fastguns, frame mounted truck camper tie-downs, upper and lower StableLoads and last year I replaced my factory RV steps with these TorkLift GlowSteps. I had a problem fitting the “scissor steps” to my truck camper because my measurements fell in between the measurements nessesary for three-step set and a two-step set of stairs. After much debate I purchased the 3 step set and it turned out that the 2 step GlowSteps actually fit my application much better. etrailer customer service assisted me making the exchange as inexpensive and fast as possible. We as consumers have countless retail outlets to purchase from online from but it is good customer service that keeps us using and supporting the same business repeatedly. etrailer? On this purchase was a 10/10 and
The 5 step Torklift steps work very well for our setup. We have a Ram pickup that is lifted and running 37" tires. Bought the steps for a Four Wheel Camper Hawk popup camper. The mount point for the stairs is 42" off the ground, so we needed a good solution for entry/exit, it's way too tall for us to use step stools or short ladders.
The steps were easy to install (took about 30 minutes total) and are very solid in use. The landing gear option for the base was a very good addition as we are almost always camped on uneven terrain. The landing gear is very adjustable with enough steps/stops so I can always get the steps level and solid.
Attaching and removing the steps is pretty quick. They weigh 31.5 lbs, so there's a bit of heft to them, but to be expected for something as heavy duty as these are.
Overall, my wife and I really like the steps after our first year of use. They are solid, the treads provide a good grip even when wet, snowy, muddy, or all of the above. The glow strips are nice too in the late evening or middle of the night and provide a good step guide.
I bought these stairs at what I felt was a pretty hefty price only to find it either used or a demonstrator model with scratches and dings directly from the sealed box from the manufacturer. Furthermore the manufacturing process has poor quality control with the aluminum struts having been cut with a water-jet and never being eased or smoothed out in any way. Next, the holes in the bracket are 3/8" in diameter but the supplied lag bolts which some of us must use due to the design of our campers are tiny #14 x 1 1/2! Right in the literature it says if you use the supplied lag bolts your warranty is void. Yes, you read that right. Oh, someone needs a swift kick! A trip to town and I bought bigger, longer stainless steel lags and bushings to make it work right but obviously these should have been included. HOWEVER - etrailer was excellent to work with and had superior communication at every step. They were also very gracious in addressing my concerns.
The Torklift steps are so functional and comfortable for my basement slide in. And etrailer is my goto for purchases of rv pieces and parts.
Super impressed…great product, great service, great customer support, great tracking on shipment, great follow up. Highly recommend etrailer.com. We will definitely be using these folks for our RV purchases. Absolutely the best online shopping experience we have ever had!!!
Rapid delivery, very well-packed, and complete hardware complement.
As always, well done by eTrailer.
These are very high quality steps! I mounted them to a large aluminum storage box that I have on a receiver style hitch plate The box and step combo make it really nice for getting up and into my camper. The nice thing about these steps is that you can purchase addition mounts and place them at other locations and use the same steps. They also fold and stow very neatly. I purchased the pin lock assy.... but if you have the room they are easy to remove and store elsewhere.
Great product. Light weight, sturdy, well worth the safety. Easy to install on camper, hook up and take down a snap. Pleasure to deal with etrailer, fast shipping and pleasant employees. Knowledgeable and helpful. Steps work in Canada!
Mounted to the bottom of the sprinter on the drip rail and works great.
Sheila was very helpful steps came on time. All the products I have received from etrailer have been correct and on time. 5 stars to Sheila for her help.
This step is wonderfully! Lightweight, easy to use, and very sturdy. Great product and perfect for our application.
very happy with the stairs, they don't fit the existing rail on the camper, but we are able to replace the rail with the one included with the kit. Thank you
I give this product 4 stars.
Adding a side man door to my truck to rv conversion required a set of special folding steps.
After a year I am still impressed.
These stairs are strong and durable.
I weigh 250 lbs.
All through the construction phase of my project, I
have gone up and down, in and out hundreds of times carrying various construction related loads.
With all of the use to date, my TorkLift Scissor Steps are tight and right with many more years of service to enjoy in the future.
