Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today we are looking at the Prest-O-Fit Outriggers Rugs for your steps here at etrailer. These are rugs for the exterior steps on your RV. You can see here how we have it on our motor home. And these specific ones are curved, that way, if you do have curved steps, this will fit them. They're a universal design.

If you have straight steps, we also have a product for those. So check those out here at etrailer. Another more sturdy or permanent mounting option is these hook and loop patches or strips on the bottom of your rug. So these have adhesive on the back and you can use that to stick to your step. And from there, just patch it on there.

And afterwards, use these springs to get that tight fit. So you have 2 ways of going about it. You can use just the springs or you can use the hook and loop plus the springs. These are a universal fit but there are some measurements you have to follow to see if they actually do fit your steps. So these can fit up to 8 and 11 inches deep as well as up to 24 inches wide.

One thing to note that any steps longer than 22 inches, won't be fully covered on the edges. I have these here on straight steps. As you can see, this is a little bit of a not perfect fit. I have a 20 by 9 and a half step. We do have a little bit of overlapping on the edges.

It's still going to work as a rug and it's still going to add that extra traction and make sure you don't get dirt inside your RV but you will have to work around the edges. We have some other exterior step rugs here at etrailer. These are the Outriggers and the main difference between them is the texture. So you're going to have to think about what situations your RV is gonna be in. What areas are you going to be walking on And you're going to have to look at which kind of texture you're most interested in for those situations. Here we have this nice carpet feeling. I think this is the most general use of Prest-O-Fit step rugs, that's because you have that nice carpet. It has medium grit or medium traction for your shoes to pick off that dirt. So if you have like a lot of sand, a lot of dirt or leaves or gravel, this will be a good fit for that. This is great for when you need to pin off your shoes. Let's say you went to the beach, you're on the trail and you don't want that mud and that dirt from the bottom of your shoes, spreading to the inside of your nice RV. This is great for wiping that off before you're ready to go in. These are UV, mold and mildew resistant. That way, if you do spill water or drinks on it or you accidentally leave them out and the rain falls on them, you don't have to worry about actually growing unwanted mold or bacteria. As for the UV resistance, that's great because what if you parked here out in the sun all day, now that sun can tend to cause rugs to lose their color or their durability, for here you keep them sturdier, longer. Now this has a micro ribbed texture, while that's nice because it's a little bit more comfortable and softer on your feet or maybe you have little puppy paws, popping on these steps. They can or they could possibly be a bit more slippery if wet. So if that's something that is a big issue for you, if you're always going to have this, you know, in a damp environment, I recommend taking a look at the other Prest-O-Fit outdoor rugs, possibly the Trailhead with its turf like texture might be more interesting for you. Now these springs, while durable and while they do hold this together, I personally don't recommend driving around with these on. But if you just need to park for the night and you just want to set these up really quickly, you can keep them on your steps and fold them up, if needed to. This set comes in a set of 3. So 1, 2, 3 rugs for your RV or motor home. And another thing about them is that, if you do get them dirty or you do get sand and gravel and dirt on them, it's very easy just to take off, hose off, dry out in the sun and then pop them back on. The Prest-O-Fit Outrigger Rug comes in a range of colors. What we have right here is brown but it also comes in colors like gray and black. Now we're going to install these rug. I already installed the bottom 2. So we'll install the top 1 together. First, what you need to do is you're going to get your springs and attach them to the holes on the bottom. Then place the rug over your steps. Now, we're going to attach it by putting these spring on the top hole and then finding the furthest hole from the back that this will reach. So let's put this on the third hole. Notice how I'm starting from the front flap and then going towards the holes in the back. That way, the back flap is tucked underneath the front. Since this is a universal fit, that will depend on your steps as to which hole you use on the bottom flap. Afterwards, you can just move this around to make sure you have a snug fit. And once that's done, you are done and ready to go. Right here, I have 3 different exterior RV step rugs. On the top, we have the Prest-O-Fit Ruggids in black. On the middle, we have the Prest-O-Fit Trailhead in brown. And here on the bottom, we have the Prest-O-Fit Outrigger in light brown. If you just need an exterior step rug just for aesthetics or general use, all 3 work really well. They are a universal fit and will fit most steps. Now they do have some differences between the 3 and each shine for different situations. Here on the bottom, we have the Outrigger. Now, if I'm not sure what kind of situation I'm going to be in, and I'm just looking for a general use rug, this would be the one I go with. It has the average carpet texture. It's not as abrasive as the other rug options. So if you just want a normal rug without too many frills, I would go with this one. Now the Trailhead is the rough and ready rug. This has sort of an artificial turf texture. So if I'm gonna be going through a lot of dirt, a lot of mud and I really need to get those off my shoes, so they don't get on my RV, this is the one for you. Now the Ruggids is also soft, but it also has texture. So if I have maybe a lot of sand or dirt or gravel, but I don't want something too abrasive. The Ruggids is a good option. My final thoughts about these rugs is I do like how they have that carpet texture. It's not too rough and also not too slippy. I definitely see this being useful, maybe when you're out at the beach and you have that sand with the way that this can just be hosed off that sand will come off easily, as well as small gravel and dirt. I do like how they have a universal fit, this fits well on our curved steps as well as our straight steps. And I don't have to deal with any tools. I just attach the spring and I'm ready to go.
