It was the exact match for what was installed originally, 35 years ago. It fit perfectly and works great. Ive been working slowly trying to replace all the cracked plastic things but have had trouble locating items for a 30 year old Airstream. It was great to find the sink &amp at a very reasonable price.

This sink was a replacement for the bathroom sink in our '86 Airstream. It was an exact match and a drop-in replacement. However, it came with no instruction on how to attach the drain extension to the bottom of the sink. Do you use PVC cement, RTV, silicone caulk, chewing gum and spit?
The sink came completely unprotected in an etrailer box which as we all know the USPS or UPS isn't gentle with. No real damage other than light scuffing on the rim, but etrailer should throw some packing paper or bubble wrap around it.1632610

To answer your question, all purpose plumbing cement from your local hardware store will do the trick!

Good product - simple to install, although the existing sink holes were cut a little bit too large for the dimensions of the sinks we ordered (used some epoxy filler to fix that little problem!). The sinks look great, too! We ordered two of these sinks in Parchment to replace original "stainless steel" sinks in our motor home, which were hard to keep free of hard water spots and soap scum. Definitely a great improvement!! The price was right and delivery only took a couple of days.738443

BUT how will it hold up? I ask this question as I go about replacing the lavatory sink in my 1999 Airstream 34ft Classic Limited for the 3rd time. The LaSalle Bristol sink IS the exact one that Airstream used originally and sold as a replacement. Both predecessor sinks eventually developed radial cracks beginning at the drain and progressively lengthening until leaks were problematic. It is mounted undercounter using RTV adhesive to a Corian countertop.
I am taking a number of proactive modifications to reinforce the bottom of the sink using carbon fiber veil laid down with SciGrip 16 solvent-based adhesive (compatible with ABS plastic). I am also not using the included tailpiece but rather a coupler to the 1.5" stub tailpiece that is molded in as part of the sink that terminates in a standard 1.5" tailpiece nut configuration which will accept standard 1.5" tailpiece to join the sink and the existing waste plumbing.
The new sink is very nicely finished, was shipped in a very heavy gauge box so to avoid shipping damage. The shipping from etrailer.com was prompt and the updates from them regarding status were greatly appreciated. Second time I used this sink product. They look great and have worked as expected. Would be helpful to have a template for cutting the hole since the sink seems to slide around when trying to trace it. One star off for that but the product is great.802039

Shipping was fast only two days. I had to install a larger sink in my 2017 Roo because the factory sink wasn't sealed good and water got underneath and swelled the countertop.
