Need to upgrade the lighting over your dinette table for those family dinners on your camping trip? This ceiling light has a bright halogen bulb that'll give your kitchen or living room space a nice, bright yellow glow. The eyeball-style design is adjustable, so you're able to direct the light where you need it.
This ceiling light is incredibly easy to install either as an upgrade or a replacement of your existing light. Because it has a low-profile, recessed design, you will need to cut out a 2" diameter hole if you're not directly replacing a light. Using hardware (not included), bolt the light down onto the ceiling in your RV or camper. The light can be turned on and off with the built-in switch, or it can be wired to a light switch. The 2-wire design hooks up to ground (white wire) and power (black wire).

The light fixture itself worked fine, however I was trying to solve a lighting problem in a tight corner area of my trailer. I found the eyeball didn't quite have enough rotation to focus the light where I needed for reading. I wound up changing the installation location and going with a product similar to the Gustafson RV LED Reading Light (Item #277-000494).
These replacement lights went in easily, work well and look great!

Was the exact replacement for our under cabinet light in our 2012 Tiffin Phaeton Motor home. Easy install and we're back in business. Was nice it was shipped with a light bulb.

I am not sure of the details of why this could not be installed, but some things to keep in mind are that this is meant to be a recessed mount so you will need to cut a hole to fit the 3.75 inch diameter of this item and the mounting holes are 3 inches apart. The white wire is the ground while the black wire is the 12V power wire.
After a fruitless search through several websites, found this. It fit the bill exactly and did not take long to get to me. Good service all around

It does sound like part # 277-000494 may be more of what you are looking for. Especially if you are wanting to install lighting in a tight corner.
