AJ: What's up everybody it's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're going to check out some hose savers from JR Products. Now these are elbows that you can screw into your city water connection that helps save your hose. And what I mean by that is, let's say if it needs to come down at an extreme angle or it's going to hang there, it might do that to the hose. And that's not good. It's going to have water backup or even like a slight bend is going to wear down on your hose over time.
That way, when you hook up one of these, it's doing the bending. So then the hose is going to come right up here and it should be no issue. It just flows to the ground. And it's all good. Let's take a closer look.I got both the 90 and the 45 degree here to show you how they look.
I'll just go ahead and install the 90 one first. Threads in just like a hose would. You can already see what I'm talking about or what I was talking about, the bend is here instead of in the hose. So when I come to connect the hose, you see now, the hose comes straight down here. I can stretch it out.
Nice, straight down, good flow of the water. And it's bent here instead. With this basic setup, the 90 degree elbow works just fine, but let's remove the hose. And if we had a regulator attached, which this is used to regulate the water coming in, GRV, keeps it at a nice 55 PSI protecting the inside of your rig. And then we add our fresh water filter. You can see that's not going to work.
It's not going to fit. This bend's not enough. That's where the 45 degree angle comes in handy. So now I'm going to install that one. As I'm installing the regulator, I just want to point out this outside plastic grip is awesome to help you just get a nice tight lock on it, instead of trying to grab this or something small, metal that might be slippery if you're already using water, it's easy to grab onto that and get a nice tight hold. Now we'll install our water filter to the end of the regulator. And you can see there's plenty of room to add our hose at the end of it now.So you can see both elbows do the same job. It just depends on what else you have. This one works just fine when it was just the drinking water hose going straight down and around the bumper, no issues. But when you add the regulator and the water filter with this bumper, this is going to help you, this 45 degrees, is going to help you get around that and get a nice, easy flow. Both of our hose savers are going to be made out of brass. So there's no lead involved. They also have a nice filter here to help when you hook it up to the outside source and the water is coming through, it's going to collect any debris coming from that outside source. So it stays here, never makes it in your rig. It's not your problem. Now, both of these are going to help your hose last longer, relieve stress on them and you.So that does it for our look at our 90 degree and 45 degree hose savers. Hope this helped.

Yeah, it is brass so we need to be careful not to put to much pressure on it or it will strip out.
Sometimes water access can be difficult. With this 90 degree it makes your life heaven when you need it.
Haven't had a chance to use, but shipping very timely, and construction looks "solid!"
Did not leak when tested
Using this fitting takes a lot of the load of the full water hose of your trailer's city water connection.
Allowed me to replace the flimsy plastic with a brass connection. was able to replace with no modifications to the trailer.
High quality product. Just installed it in my food truck. Seals on the first try. The rubber grip makes it very easy to handle.
Excellent product. A must have to keep the stress off the water inlet.
I really like this productd, i just leave it on ll the time with the plug insert in.
Works as it should, no leaks.
Does what I needed
