Can A Solera Family Room For RV Awnings Be Used During Windy Conditions

Question:

How difficult is it to assemble and take down the screen room. How much time is needed. I am assuming it needs to be taken down daily, because of possible wind damage. This would be for the Solera screen room. I have a 2022 r pod 196, that , I am considering buying one for. Thanks.

The Solera Family Room for 11' Wide RV Awnings # LC362226 can be left up overnight and during normal windy conditions (20-25mph). The tan portions of this awning room are made of a heavy-duty nylon along with screen panels that will allow wind to pass through. Since you'll be staking the room to the ground and mounting to both the trailer wall and awning it will be strong enough to withstand normal conditions.

That being said, you should still follow normal precautions for your awning when it comes to wind speed. If the awning is flapping around quite a bit because the wind is picking up then you would want to remove the screen room and roll up your awning.

The initial install can take a bit, but afterwards the awning should go up and come down in just a few minutes. The zippered panels will make it easy to assemble and disassemble as needed.
