Jeff: Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at this Taylor Made AquaFi Marine WiFi Hotspot. Now this AquaFi hotspot will provide boating enthusiasts with a nice secure 2.4 gig WiFi network for your phone or tablet while you're on the water. It'll allow you to watch movies, stream music, browse the internet without having to use your phone as a hotspot. Does include everything shown here on the table. The AquaFi hotspot assembly right here, the docking station, an AC/DC power supply and a nice owner's manual would describe how it all connects and how it operates.Now, this is a Marine ready waterproof WiFi hotspot that let you access the internet via a WiFi connection while you're on the water.

It'll offer 4G LTE connectivity, which gives you up to 150 megabits speed web browsing through your phone or your tablet. And it'll connect up to 10 users without lowering the speed or the performance. And it is a very simple setup with the AquaFi app for your iOS or Android and a data plan is required. It's in a nice waterproof casing, which will protect the internal parts like the antennas from any moisture. It does use 12 volt DC power, which is sourced through the included docking station here.

And it offers snap and portability.Now, see this docking station here. You could wire it to the power on your boat, and then you mount the docking station on your boat, and then you just take your WiFi assembly, put it on there and it just clips into place. Actually, it makes a connection. If you look on the back, there's two points there that when you do it says remove before docking. You peel this off and then it'll make the connections right there.

So when it plugs in, then you'll have your connection just like that. Or if you want, you can just remove it from the dock and you can operate it on the shore with this included AC to DC wall plug power supply. And that'll plug in right on the side here.If you look on the side, there's a little access panel that has two very small screws on it. So if I just show you if we unscrew those screws, one on the bottom, one right on the top, and once you get those unscrewed all the way should be able to just pop that access panel off. And then if you can see in there, there's a plug.

This would plug in to operate inaudible 00:02:38 AC and there's actually the SIM card is also included in there.And again, if you're not using it, just put your access panel right back on there. And go ahead and tighten your screw down. Do the same right up at the top. And then you're all ready to go. Simple as that. It is a . gives you a nice, lightweight buoyant construction. So if it does happen to fall overboard, it won't sink.And the last thing I want to do is just the dimensions on this box itself. It's going to be right about five and three quarter inches wide by about four and a quarter inches tall. And the depth of it is only about one and three quarter inches.
