Michael: Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com., Today we're going to take a quick look at the MB Sturgis dual propane adapter fitting. This is going to allow you to connect to your propane tank on this end with your POL fitting, which will use the inner threads on your nozzle, your propane tank. That just easily screws in there. You're not going to need a wrench, or anything, just that little hand wheel tightened down in place. And then, you have these two male type one output fittings that you can easily hook your hose onto and screw onto those, so that you can run two propane powered appliances at the same time. So if, for instance, you're out cooking at your campsite you're wanting to use your barbecue grill and your cooktop stove you should be able to use both of those from the one tank.

So, it is going to give you more versatility, give you greater options of how to use your propane tank. This is a brass fitting, so it's going to be very hardy. You're not going to have to worry about it breaking down. It is very easy to use with a spin wheel there, just tighten down into your propane tank. As I said, you've got the one POL tank connection that goes on the inside, and then you've got your two male type one output connections, which will use your type one connector. The big green knob will go on both sides of those, instead of on the outside threads.

This is rated for a maximum pressure of 250 PSI. It's a temperature range of negative 40 degrees Fahrenheit up to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, so it's very heavy duty. It will allow you to use multiple applications from your propane tank. That's going to complete our look at the MB Sturgis dual propane adapter fitting. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..

  • Running 2 Firman 3300 Dual Fuel Generators Off of 1 Propane Tank
What you need is a splitter or dual adapter like part # MBS54FR and this will work for you as long as your tank's connector is threaded on the inside not just the outside. If it's threaded both in and out that's okay too you'll only use the inside threads with this splitter. The outlets on the splitter have threads on the inside and outside. Meaning they'll connect to the generator's regulator/hose assembly just like your tank would have if you weren't using the splitter. The picture...

  • Multiple Appliances from Single LP Propane Source
I recommend the MB Sturgis Dual Propane Adapter Fitting - Male POL x Type 1, # MBS54FR. Going this route the two appliances will still require both regulators, it is the only option with items currently carried with etrailer, but this will meet the objective of a single connecting point for that 100 lb. bottle source. Please let me know if I can assist further and note the attached links to product review and help article.

  • Running From Propane Tank to Two Appliances to Bypass RV Lines
Off of the regulator you'd want a splitter like the part # MBS54FR and then you'd need to run line like the part # 100019-144 to each of your appliances. It would really be basically that simple unless your appliances require something different as far as connections.

  • Propane Splitter to Connect Grill and Heater at Once
What you're looking for is a splitter. Also, I'm assuming your grill and your heater connect to a standard Type 1 fitting that commonly has the big plastic ACME nut that goes onto a portable tank like you have. If I'm right then I think we have exactly what you're looking for. Part # MBS54FR is a splitter with the Type 1 connectors for the grill and heater. The supply end that fits into the tank is a POL connection that has a brass handwheel not the plastic nut. As long as your 20 pound...
