Westin's Signature Series round nerf bars are constructed of high-grade galvanized steel. This material is made of a mixture of alloys that provides layers of resistance to rust caused by oxidation. The step pad areas on the bars are indented instead of cut out, maintaining the structural integrity of the steel tubing and preventing internal corrosion. And the nerf bars have a black powder coat that adds an extra layer of protection. Now you can take any type of weather head-on.
As shown in the image above, these step bars have a U-style tubing, which ensures that each bar conforms perfectly to your vehicle. Installation is quick and simple - just bolt the mounting brackets to existing holes in your truck's frame. No drilling is required.

Hello neighbors, welcome back I'm Steven, and today we're looking at the Westin Signature Series Round Nerf Bars, a three inch round bar with a black powder coated steel finish. Now these are a custom fit application. They fit a 1995 through 2004 Toyota Tacoma regular cab. Always make sure you check your year, make and model on Etrailer's Fit guide to ensure you get the right parts the first time. As I said these are a custom fit. They're a round style Nerf bar.
They're gonna make it easy to get in and outta your vehicle. The nice curved ends here of the steps are gonna give you a nice finish street style look and it's gonna have a really nice non-slip stick pad. It sits in the recessed area of this tube and instead of cutouts and stuff like that, there's no holes to worry about. There's no holes in the tubing. That means you have maximum strength and durability with no internal corrosion.
So a lot of other brands out there and stuff, they get corrosion inside over time because water and stuff can get inside. Now zooming in here, the step pads themselves are made of a very durable polymer plastic construction. They're gonna resist UV rays, fading, cracking, and it's nice galvanized steel with that black powder coat finish I mentioned. It's very durable and extremely rust resistant. And on the ends there, it's a threaded piece that's welded in there.
That's where a lot of these bracket trees and bolts and nuts and hardware are gonna get installed. Now these are a nice, very quick and easy bolt on installation. You have all the included hardware here, lots of different brackets. Again, all the brackets and everything are either galvanized or black powder coat finished. Very heavy duty curved bent specifically for this particular vehicle.
Again, there's no drilling required whatsoever. That makes it a nice, simple, quick, easy install. The tubing diameter is three inches across. The step pad is three inches across as well. You get two of these bars each with one step pad. Now again, each step pad only has one, or each bar rather only has one step pad. So there's options out there for different vehicles that are maybe twice as long and they would have two of these plastic step pads. But these are shorter, so you only get one step pad per bar. They do have a very nice five year warranty. And again, you're getting everything here on the table plus the instructions to install it. Fits, looks, feels, my as well add smellls great on the truck 96 f250
After 1 year, everything looks nice and has stayed stiff & attached. My 3 yr old daughter can climb in and out on her own, plus her Grandparents can too :-)
Instructions were clear and I was able to install them on my own w/ no special tools needed.

I had these bars installed on my wife's 2004 Santa Fe as a birthday present. She was expecting something else, though. So while they may not make a good present for the wife and end up landing you in the doghouse, they are functional. Mainly I wanted the two little ones to have an easier time getting in and out of the vehicle and the bars are just right for their little feet (the older one is a bit of a clutz).
They are positioned a little more under/close to the vehicle body than I'd like but they still look good. As for the wife, well, I recommend going with jewelry, a day at the spa, or a romantic dinner, unless your wife is really into tube steps.

Nerf bars were packaged well and came exactly as described. Easy install with clear instructions. Installed on 1995 Ford F-150 2wd in about an hour. Bars make nice step for wife and kids to use. Nice chrome addition to new chrome bumpers. Another good experience with etrailer.com. Thanks!
Ford F-150 step bar installationThe step bar arrived as promised on Saturday afternoon, and I installed it today with no difficulty.
I gave this product a good rating because of the misinformation on the installation rather than the construction of the product or the delivery of the product. The product was advertised as no drilling required, but when it came, the instructions plainly stated you needed a drill to complete the installation. In fact it required drilling a hole that was larger than any of my drill bits. Fortunately, I was able to install it without drilling a hole, it just doesn't give as much support as you would like.
Great, as described, one year later still look good. These were a replacement for the original which had rusted badly. I painted these with rattle can bed liner, dull black works better with my vehicle. Plus powder coating just doesn’t hold up stuff is a poor substitute for paint.
Customer service at etrailer is outstanding! The Westin steps arrived in great condition, all the components were included and the installation was a breeze.
The nerf bars bars were shipped quickly which was a nice surprise! Product was well packaged although two items were missing, the two “ square head cup point set screws” were nowhere to be found! The instructions were pretty good with a very clear schematic...my other suggestion is to state more clearly the fact that two of the nuts are fine thread and two are coarse. I am not mechanically gifted so any missed parts or unclear instructions can really screw things up for me! Overall...I give a “B+”!

I am familiar with the product. They are easy to install, no drilling had them on 2 previous trucks. E-Trailer had a great deal on the bars – couldn’t walk by. The price is too good. I have several other products ordered from E-Trailer. I haven’t had any miss-hap or ambiguity with the company. Business well done! Thank you!
I replaced the same product from my truck that I installed 10 yearss earlier but had rusted out every thing fit exactly as before now my truck looks better
Instructions are very poorFirst,good shipping time.Great communication from E-trailer.Good product from westin.The bad is probably the worst install instructions I have ever seen.No part #s on sheet.It took me 1hr. to figure it out.After not looking at the instructions and crawing under the truck it was very simple to install.Westin should rewright the instructions.
