Recommend Tube Steps For 1996 Toyota Tacoma Standard Cab Truck

i have a standard cab but would like to now if an extended step board so i can step up to the bed from the side fit

I do have steps that are designed for your standard cab Toyota Tacoma, but the steps designed for the Tacoma Xtracab, part # 25-0830, will not work on the standard cab Tacoma. The bars are too long, and would not line up with the mounting points on the truck.

You will need to use the Westin Signature Series Step Bars, part # 25-0835. Part # 25-0835 fits the 4-wheel drive and Prerunner standard cab models, and will not work with the 2-wheel drive models. These steps are not wheel to wheel nerf bars but will sit below the cab of the truck.

What you could use to make access to the truck bed easier is the HitchMate TireStep, part # HE4040.
