Video Transcript for RoadMaster Voom RV Cleaner Review

Hi there, RVers. Today we're going to be taking a look at Voom from Roadmaster. This is an all-purpose RV cleaner. It's going to be great for both interior and exterior items on your RV. You can pick up Voom in either a one gallon container like we have here, or a 32 ounce spray bottle. I would recommend having both.

We've got our large purpose cleaner here for your exterior. It's great to be able to just pour it in a bucket and scrub it down or dilute it. And keep the 32 ounce spray bottle inside because it's also great for your stove tops, your countertops, your oven tops, and you can use it on the outside, as well. You can use it on your awnings or just the exterior of your RV. Any surface, it's going to be safe with it, and it's going to help remove that debris by breaking it up so you can easily get it off.

Another thing that I really like about it is that it's biodegradable and contains no petroleum. So feel free to use this at any campsite out there, because you're not going to be leaving any trace behind for the other campers that are going to come next. Now we'll show you how to use the cleaner on your RV or your pop up camper. I've got my pop up camper here, and it's been sitting outside all summer. I haven't had a chance to get to it and get it fixed up, but now that winter's hit here, I'm going to prepare it so I can enjoy it next summer. You can see all the dirt, debris, and gunk that's built up on it, sitting outside underneath some trees.

You can see all this mildew built up across the top. This is going to get in there and break that mildew free, allowing us to get all that off of there and have a nice glossy finish on our top here.Additionally, it'll help break up the oil, grease, and road grime that you get splashed up, as well. I've got some of it fed into the tank on my power washer here. We're going to go ahead and clean it off that way. We will show you a couple of other ways you can use it, as well.

You can be traditional with it and just have a bucket, and pour it in there and use a sponge on it. You could dilute it down to suit your needs, but you could use it at full strength if you want. If you're wanting to do a setup like this with your power washer, it's an attachment for your pressure washer that converts it into a foaming sprayer, and if you need a pressure washer and the whole setup, you can get those here at etrailer.com, as well, as we've got pressure washers available from A-iPower. You can see the thick foam that we've built up on the surface of our camper here, and this foam is going to sit on there for a while. It's going to start breaking up all that dirt and debris and mildew on top, and the weight of the foam is then going to start to slide down the camper and it's going to drag that dirt and debris with it. We'll let it sit here and do its magic for a while and then we'll come back.Another thing that I really like about this cleaner is that it's safe for all surfaces, so whether you are using it on the outside or if you're using it on your interior. We've got our cover here on our spare tire, and it's made of vinyl similar to some of the cloths you'd have on some of your couches and chairs, and it's going to be safe for all that stuff, too. So whether you've got stains on the carpet, you need to clean off the kitchen table, or you're going to prepare your RV to look nice and spiffy when you head out. So this really is an all in one solution for your RV cleaning needs. Now it's been on there for a few minutes now and you can see the suds have mostly ran off. There's still some coming down here, but you can see this patch here is awfully clean and we've done nothing but place the foam on it, and you can see the path that the foam is taking as it runs off is bringing that dirt with it. You can see the dirt that it's dragging down with it has made a nice line there. Let's hit it with our power washer now, and we're going to clean it back up. As I was cleaning, I stopped so we could take a look at the difference here. This area here, we've placed our Voom on, and this area here we've yet to clean yet. I've made another stop here when I was cleaning off the awning, the vinyl for it here has built up quite a bit of mildew, especially along the seams where the zipper is, and you can see here where we already cleaned off and sprayed it off nice and clean. But we still have mildew here, so we're going to rinse this off and take care of the rest. And if you touch it, you can feel it just kind of comes right off after the Voom's loosened it up. For some of those more stubborn spots, you can go back with a soft bristle brush or a sponge and knock those out. We've got some stubborn rust stains on top where I'd been doing some work on my house and I'd left some razor blades sitting on top of the camper, and unfortunately it rained a few days and sat out there, and they've left some stains behind that we're having a difficult time getting to come off. But with some of the Voom and our bristle brush here, we're able to tackle that, where other cleaners wouldn't. We'll rinse it off here, and one more pass and I think we'll be able to get all that cleared up.Now that we've cleaned the outside of the camper, let's go inside and clean up, as well. We can use it around our sinks, get those clean so everybody inside is going to be healthy when we make our dinner, and we did the stainless steel of our sink, we can also do our countertops with the same solution. It's great in your RV's bathroom too. Now on our pop up here, we cleaned our passenger side with the Voom cleaner and we cleaned the driver's side with the Valterra cleaner and both came out looking great. I will say that the Valterra did come out a little bit better. It's a little bit wider and cleaner looking on the Valterra side versus our Voom side. So while the Voom didn't perform quite as well on the exterior as the Valterra, I'd have to say the Voom's a great value because of how many different surfaces you can use it on.Now, if you're going for a show look, then I would choose the Valterra, as it's going to give your exterior a better look. In reality, it's really not a bad idea to pick up a little bit of both. You can use this to keep the inside nice and clean, and use this to keep the outside with a show quality finish. I believe it probably looks a little bit better due to the fact that our Valterra here is a wash and wax, because it almost seems to leave the surface with just more of a sheen than the Voom does. I've got to say in the end, I'm impressed with both of our cleaners here. My pop up here is almost 20 years old, and it's really brought a new facelift to it, being nice and clean. And that completes our look at Roadmasters' Voom cleaner.

We used Vroom all during our RV days, and now that we can no longer travel, it was good news that we can still order the product.
Vroom is an excellent product and we have found no other product to match it for cleaning ability.

  • How Often to Re-Apply RoadMaster Voom Gold RV Polish & Protectant RM-9940
Thank you for the photo of your new (and very clean!) Coachman Freedom Express travel trailer. I notice you are (wisely) using protective tire covers. The benefit of regular repeat applications of RoadMaster Voom Gold Auto and Marine Polish # RM-9940 is that your RV's exterior (including plastic, vinyl, fiberglass and rubber surfaces) is not allowed to take a beating from UV radiation or road nasties like salt. In the same way that a product like Armor All works best when re-applied on...

  • Can You Install an RV Roof Vent Rain Cover on A Plastic Roof Vent?
You are correct, most older roof vents and/or fans do have a galvanized steel roof flange that mounts to the top of the RV. The Camco Roof Vent Cover, # CAM40431, that you mentioned is often used with these style vents/fans as seen in our installation video. In recent years, many manufacturers have begun to use roof flanges made from sturdy plastic, including our friends at MaxxAir. I called my contact at MaxxAir to ask about drilling into the plastic flange. He assured me that their...

  • Recommended Cleaner And Polisher For The Exterior Of A 2002 Thor Tahoe
To clean and polish the exterior of your 2002 Thor Tahoe I recommend first using the RoadMaster Voom RV Cleaner # RM-9910 to clean all the dirt and grime off of the trailer and then using the RoadMaster Voom Gold Auto and Marine Polish # RM-9940 to get the walls shining again. This isn't a one-step solution like you're wanting, but it is the best solution that we currently have.
