How Often to Re-Apply RoadMaster Voom Gold RV Polish & Protectant RM-9940

Question:

I called Roadmaster and they told me that this product realistically should be used once a mo. even though the label says it last for mos. So my question is, do you think that this very thin liquid will do all that is says on the label? My trailer is new so I am trying to make sure I use something really good on it. If the gelcoat goes south so to speak, in a yr or two, it will be difficult to remedy the oxidized surface and I will quickly lose faith in this product. So far I like it as it is extremely easy to use. Thanks,

Thank you for the photo of your new (and very clean!) Coachman Freedom Express travel trailer. I notice you are (wisely) using protective tire covers.

The benefit of regular repeat applications of RoadMaster Voom Gold Auto and Marine Polish # RM-9940 is that your RV's exterior (including plastic, vinyl, fiberglass and rubber surfaces) is not allowed to take a beating from UV radiation or road nasties like salt. In the same way that a product like Armor All works best when re-applied on a regular basis, this protectant solution will do the most to prevent dulling and fading of your RV exterior when re-applied at regular intervals. Since this is a protectant it if wears off it ceases to do the most good for your RV.

Since UV damage cannot really be un-done once it happens, taking heroic steps up front to protect not only the appearance but also the longevity of your new RV seems to me to be money well spent. This product is made in the USA and contains no acrylic compounds that can yellow surfaces.

Since this product is a protectant, rather than a cleaner, it will bond better with and work better on RV surfaces that are first cleaned to remove any loose dirt. Yes, this means another step, washing the exterior with a cleaner like # RM-9910 before applying the protectant solution.
