Video Transcript for Review of Risk Racing Motorcycle Tie Downs - Lock-N-Load Junior Dirt Bike Anchoring System - RR23QP

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com, and today we're gonna take a look at this Risk Racing Lock-N-Load Junior Dirt Bike Anchoring System. This dirt bike transport system is going to secure your bike in your trailer with these jaws are going to clamp down on the foot pegs of your bike. And the benefit of this system is that you can secure your bike without the need for tie down straps, floor anchors, or wheel chucks, and an additional benefit is this is going to reduce the pressure on your fork seals by distributing the pressure to your bike's front and rear suspension. Now, you can also install this in the bed of your truck. You would need to purchase additional mounting plates that are going to work with your truck bed.

If that's something you're interested in, I will show you how you can get those plates for your truck bed at the end of our time together. Now, just to give you a brief demonstration of how this system is going to work, once you have this installed in your trailer floor and you're ready to secure your bike, you're going to first want to turn these knobs to the lock position, just like that, and then just bring your bike through the posts here, bring them in between these posts, and you wanna line up your foot pegs in between the jaws just like that. And then once you have your bike into place, I would recommend sitting on your bike to compress your suspension system a little bit on your bike and just use your foot to push down the jaw on each side. And then these jaws are going to firmly secure the foot pegs on your bike, and your bike will be secured. Now, these have the additional benefit of having these safety pins.

It just adds an extra bit of security to this system. So these pins can be easily run through just like that. And I'd like to put a photo on your screen there, just giving you a brief demonstration of what this is going to look like not only installed in your trailer floor but also securing your bike into place. Now, when you're ready to remove your bike and you're ready to hit the trail or the road, you're just going to remove these safety pins first, and then you wanna go ahead and twist these knobs to the unlock position just like that, and then give the top of each of these jaws a slight push down, and then that's going to release these jaws. Your bike will be free, and you can just back your bike out, and you're gonna be ready to roll.

So this is going to be very easy, very convenient to use. And this is going to fit most 85cc motocross bikes or bikes with a similar geometry, and it's gonna work with your two-stroke or four-stroke engines, and this is going to work with bike widths from 18 inches to 20 inches wide and a foot peg height from 12-1/2 inches to 14-3/4 inches tall. This has a maximum weight capacity of 200 pounds. And you can also remove these posts very quickly from the mounting plates. Obviously you're going to keep the mounting plates installed in the floor of your trailer, but if you need some room and you need to remove these posts, it's going to be very simple.

You're just going to loosen up these hand knobs here, and then you're gonna be able to remove them from those mounting plates just like that. Now, since these mounting plates are going to stay permanently installed in your trailer floor, they do come with D-rings on the ends of them, so they can still be useful to you even though you may not be using the Lock-N-Load system itself, so these D-rings will give you additional anchor points on your trailer floor. So that's a nice touch, a nice feature that they include. Now, you can install more than one of these in your trailer, and they can be staggered to avoid handlebar interference. And I went ahead and measured the mounting plates earlier before our time together, and the overall length from the end of the D-ring to the end of the opposite side here, we're sitting at about 14 inches long. The width of the mounting plate is about 2-1/4 inches wide. These plates are gonna stick up about 5/16 inch from your trailer floor. This is a sturdy steel construction with an attractive black powder coat finish to help resist rust and corrosion, and this is a very robust product. It weighs about 19 pounds. And this does include the mounting hardware that you're going to need to install this to the floor of your trailer. Now, if you are also interested in installing this in the bed of your truck, I had mentioned that you would need additional mounting plates that do not come with this system, so on your screen, you can see our item number for those truck bed adapter plates. You can just take that item number and put it in the search field of our website, and that will take you to those plates so you can add them to your order. An instruction sheet is included to walk you through the very simple installation process. And that's going to conclude our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
