Video Transcript for Trimax Gun Trigger Combination Lock Review

Gun safety is very, very important. There's a lot of ways you can prevent the trigger from being pulled, whether you're just storing it for travel or storing it at home, just to make sure no one gets into it. The Trimax Combination Trigger Lock for your gun is gonna be a pretty good way to just make sure to give you peace of mind, so nothing happens and it doesn't go off. Straight out of the box, the combination's gonna be 0-0-0. So the way it works is you line up that combination, you press this little red trigger, and it's gonna slide apart. That's a two piece unit.

So it's gonna have some rubber right here, just to protect the finish of your gun, so you don't get it all scratched up or anything. And it just locks in just like that. I do like how it has the little notches. You can kind of hear it whenever it goes through. So whatever you do, whatever gun it's on, can put the flat part right here, going straight up.

And then on the other side, the same exact thing. Trimax symbol's gonna be facing upright so you can read it. We don't want to use this on a gun that has a live round in the chamber. And also, a gun that even just has bullets in the mag. I always have the mag a little bit separate.

We just wanna be extra safe here. To reset the combination, there's gonna be a little pinhole up top here. I'm just using a standard pen. Anything that's nice and skinny is gonna go in. So we wanna push this in, and then we can reset our combo.

What I'm gonna do is just put it on 0-0-7, because why not And then, that is gonna be the new combination. So you can make sure that it's right. 'Cause, if you press it in all the way, the whole entire time, it should unlock. And if not, just go back to your old code, and then make sure to hold this down the whole entire time. The overall length's gonna be 2 3/8 inches. The width is gonna be an inch and a half. And the thickness of it is gonna be two inches, and that's with it not on the gun itself. The only thing you really need to have on your gun for this to fit is just a guard around your trigger. Because if you don't have that, it's not really gonna do a whole lot. So it's pretty much gonna fit with almost any gun that you have. And since it has so many different teeth, right here, it will even work for some of those thicker guns that you may have. It's very quick and easy to throw on. This comes in a pack of one or a pack of two, if you wanted to lock up more of your firearms. When it comes to gun locks, the trigger lock isn't gonna be as safe as a safe at your house or a case of some sort. The whole idea with this is it's gonna be for you to kind of carry it with you, whether it's in the car or just in travel. Or if you keep it just kind of by your bedside in a secret spot. You just don't want the kids to get it, and something happen. So I definitely recommend this for that situation. This is still going to leave your firearm a little open to theft, meaning someone can still take it. It's not tethered to anything, but they're gonna have to get through this lock to actually use it. I think this is gonna be the best for home defense. If you need to give yourself peace of mind that the trigger's not gonna go off if someone touches it, because it isn't gonna take us a whole lot of time to select the code that we do. 'Cause there's some of 'em that have keys. I lose things all the time. And if you have that situation, you don't wanna have to be shuffling through your drawers to find the key. So I do think that the combination is gonna be the best route when it comes to trigger locks..
