Gun safety is super important. We wanna make sure that this thing's not gonna go off if the kids get into it or whatever the situation is. The Trimax Lock is gonna go around your trigger and you're gonna have keys to be able to unlock this just to prevent any false firing. We're gonna get two keys with the kit. We don't have replacement keys, so definitely put these in a safe place. If you lose things like me maybe go with the combination trigger locks.
It's the same exact thing, but it's a combo. So, there's nothing really to lose. So, it's just gonna have one little shaft that goes through and connects into the other one. And I do like how we have these little rubber pieces on the outside just to protect the finish of your gun to make sure it's gonna work. Pretty much any gun is gonna work.
You just need to make sure that you have a little guard around your trigger, because if you don't, then it's not really gonna wrap around anything. I think this is gonna be pretty good for your rifles and shotguns, your pistols. Whatever it may be. I do really suggest you having the combination one though, just because if you're using it for home defense and if you really need to get to it really quickly, you're gonna have to find where you put the keys. So, the combo's gonna be a little bit quicker.
But this is just going to give you a little bit more peace of mind if you keep it kind of around the house so no one gets into it. First thing you wanna do, you wanna make sure we have nothing in the chamber. I don't like to have a magazine in it either. And we wanna flip on that safety switch just to make sure. Better safe than sorry.
There's gonna be a flat part up on top. That's gonna go towards the barrel of your gun and then you're gonna take the other piece without the shaft and you're gonna line it up. And I like how it has some teeth on the inside. So, once you line it up properly all you have to do is just push it into place and you can kinda hear it. Click down on it and then you can take the key out and unlock it. So, it doesn't matter really how thick it may be because you can kinda hear it. It clicks into place and it's nice and secure. So, there's not really a whole lot of wiggle room here for anybody to get a tool. This isn't really going to prevent theft just because it's not really tethered to anything. Someone can still steal your firearm. This is just gonna protect the trigger from being pulled by accident. So this isn't gonna be an alternative to storing it in a safe, but whoever does steal this, if they do, they're gonna have a pretty tough time drilling through this. This is just gonna give me peace of mind and that's pretty much it for a look at the Trimax Gun Trigger Lock..
