Today we're going to be taking a look at part number 2618. This is Redline's 18" long lanyard. It's going to be made of multi-strand aircraft cable. The lanyard is going to be stronger and more resistant to breaking when compared to single wire lanyards, and yet still gives you the flexibility that you need. This lanyard is going to help keep your hitch pin, linchpin or snapper pin close by when you're not using it. That way you don't ever have to worry about losing it or misplacing it. You'll see here on the ends that it's going to feature a closed, loop end on each end.
A nice little crimp design to make sure that the loop doesn't come unattached. If we take a measurement of the overall length, measuring from end-to-end that's going to give us that 18" measurement. I'll try to get you a close up right here of the braided design. You can see here that this is going to be that multi-strand aircraft cable braided together for strength and durability. They ship it out right away but the US Postal Service delays the package delivery. Just a heads up.
I ordered two small items on December 20. And etrailer got it right out.
The USPS delayed delivery until today January 9.Just a heads up if this happens to you it’s not e-trailer’s fault, it’s the US Postal Service.
Overall quality appears very good. Crimps are good. End eyes could be just a fraction larger so you can make a loop. Bought 5 units and was able to make loops but very tight. Made loops on trailer side to hold hitch pins.
great straps, have used on several applications. Even used them on the hatch cover for my boat
Fine product, loops were smaller than anticipated, has to modify my setup. Used them to make ramp safety cables. Love Etrailer!
Seems to be good. It's a small diameter cable. Good for small snaps and pins.
