Today we're going to be taking a look at the Alabama Crimson Tide 2" hitch cover from AMG. The hitch cover's going to allow you to show your school pride. It also adds a clean finish look to your hitch, and it helps keep dirt and grime out of the receiver tube of your hitch. The hitch cover is made from a steel construction. It's going to feature a really nice black powder coat finish all the way around, which is going to do a great job at resisting rust and corrosion. It's got a nice foam gasket that slides around the piece that goes into the hitch.
That's really going to help reduce rattling between the hitch and the hitch cover. Here at the front, we're going to have the crystal-embedded chrome plated emblem. Gives it a nice look, really sleek design. It does feature a rust-proof and fade-proof design, and the product's going to be made right here in the USA. This is an officially licensed product. When installing it, it does require a hitch pin and clip or hitch lock for a complete install.
Those items are sold separately, so if you're in need of one, you can find them here at etrailer.com. The pin holes on this hitch cover will accept a standard 5/8" diameter pin. A few measurements to go over with you real quick, starting with the width of the hitch cover face. It's going to measure around 5". The overall height is going to give us a measurement of about 3-1/2".
The distance that we have from the back of that foam pad to the center of the hitch pin hole's going to be pretty close to 2-1/2". This is designed for a 2" by 2" hitch. It's a very simple installation process. Just slide it into the receiver tube of your hitch, line up your pin holes, and secure it with your hitch pin and clip or hitch lock. It’s girly and glittery I have a bright blue 2017 ram 1500 with black trimming and this really sets it off for my “Bama” team My grandson had gotten a hitch from your company and so he suggested I look there when I couldn’t find one I liked Web site was easy and company stayed in touch and used a personal touch on emails which was refreshing Thank you for being such a great company .

Perfect addition to the his & hers vehicle. Very nice solid construction with just the right amount of bling, classy USMC logo. Especially like the rounded edges, thinking they will lessen the bruising during unexpected close encounters
This is fantastic. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. It's strong, heavy, beautiful, and reflects credit on the VFW. I'm completely pleased with it.

Before I took it out of the box, I could tell that this was a high quality product. The colors are bright and the fit is perfect. The foam seal to keep water out of the hitch was an unexpected nice touch. It looks great on my truck.
Be advised, it does not come with any kind of retaining device, you will need a hitch pin to keep it in place. I purchased a locking pin because something as nice as this would probably get stolen.

Did a lot of research on this product and it came through with flying colors. I ordered this product and one other from another site. This cover was superior in thickness size and chrome. Also the pin opening is large enough for standard 4" pins. If you are considering this product I suggest you don't wait. As for the company, great service. I was contacted shortly after the purchase, tracked the item and was contact about satisfaction after delivery. Outstanding. Will not return item but with their attention to detail I am sure if there were anything of issue the company would be on top of it. Thank you I will be ordering from you again.
I took about a month shopping before I purchased. The one thing I didn't want was a cheap plastic hitch cover representing my team. I love this hitch cover because it is high quality and really stands out. After having it a year it still looks like it did the day it arrived. Thank you etrailer for outstanding quality. The hitch cover is perfect in detail,powder coated with U.S.M.C.enblem and fits a 2" trailer hitch.
Thanks for your message and following up a year later! I have purchased two of these hitch covers for both of our cars. I'll attach pictures. I believe the first one I bought was 2 years ago and the second was a year ago. The two year old cover has shown a great deal of rust and deterioration over those two years. The other one is in much better shape but I would expect the same to happen over this next year.
I do live in Pittsburgh, a very rainy and humid climate for most of the year. Obviously in winter months, we get a lot of snow and ice with the roadways covered with salt. I'm sure those factors contribute to the rusting of this product.
I'll be happy to log in and make a review post similar to above if you would like me to. I have been a happy customer of yours with a few of these similar products.

This was not checked for quality prior to shipping from the manufactor or the seller. My logo is off center at the bottomand over to the passenager side. Also my logo is crooked tilting up toward the passenager side. Tried calling customer service but the line has not been manned since I recieved this product. Overall a disappointing experience.
The Arizona State University hitch cover I purchased through etrailer matches every detail of my Jeep Wrangler and allows me to show off my school pride in style.
Customer service has been excellent; however, the trailer hitch cover is starting to show wear less than a year after purchase. I would not purchase this item again due to the premature wear.
Terrible. I received it on Fri, drove up to Tahoe on Mon and hit the slopes on Tues. The logo fell off when I hit my hiking boot (light, day hiker type) against the cover to knock off some snow. I wasn't even wearing the boot, it was in my hand. I didn't even hit the logo itself, or bang it hard. The main receiver cover is otherwise well made and fits snugly.
