Today we're going to be taking a look at the diver down flag 2 inch hitch cover from AMG. Now at sea, the flag is going to notify boats that a scuba diver is below. When installed in your hitch on your vehicle, it's going to let everyone know that you'd rather be in the water. It's going to add a clean finished look to your hitch and it's going to help keep dirt and grime out of the receiver tube of your hitch. The hitch cover's going to be made from a steel construction. It's going to feature a really nice black powder coat finish which is going to do a great job at resisting rust and corrosion. Here at the front we're going to have the red and white diver down signal flag. That's going to have a nice chrome plated metal frame and it's got a protective coating over the emblem, which is going to give it a nice rust proof and fade proof design. The product is American made.
Here at the back side, it's going to feature a foam gasket that goes around the area that goes into the receiver tube of your hitch. That foam gasket's going to really help prevent or reduce rattling between the hitch and the hitch cover. Now this does require a hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock for a complete installation. Those items are sold separately, but if you're interested in one, you can find them right here at etrailer.com. The pinholes on this hitch cover will accept a standard 5/8 inch diameter pin. A few measurements to go over with you real quick here at the hitch cover face, ti's going to give us an overall width of about 5 inches with an over all height measurement of about 3 1/2 inches and the distance that we have from the back of the foam pad to the center of the hitch pinhole, ti's going to be pretty close to 2 1/2 inches. Now this is designed for a 2 inch by 2 inch hitch.
Very simple installation, just slide it into the receiver tube of your hitch and then secure it using a hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock. That's going to do it for day's look at the diver down flag 2 inch hitch cover from AMG.

Before I took it out of the box, I could tell that this was a high quality product. The colors are bright and the fit is perfect. The foam seal to keep water out of the hitch was an unexpected nice touch. It looks great on my truck.
Be advised, it does not come with any kind of retaining device, you will need a hitch pin to keep it in place. I purchased a locking pin because something as nice as this would probably get stolen.

Did a lot of research on this product and it came through with flying colors. I ordered this product and one other from another site. This cover was superior in thickness size and chrome. Also the pin opening is large enough for standard 4" pins. If you are considering this product I suggest you don't wait. As for the company, great service. I was contacted shortly after the purchase, tracked the item and was contact about satisfaction after delivery. Outstanding. Will not return item but with their attention to detail I am sure if there were anything of issue the company would be on top of it. Thank you I will be ordering from you again.

Thanks for your message and following up a year later! I have purchased two of these hitch covers for both of our cars. I'll attach pictures. I believe the first one I bought was 2 years ago and the second was a year ago. The two year old cover has shown a great deal of rust and deterioration over those two years. The other one is in much better shape but I would expect the same to happen over this next year.
I do live in Pittsburgh, a very rainy and humid climate for most of the year. Obviously in winter months, we get a lot of snow and ice with the roadways covered with salt. I'm sure those factors contribute to the rusting of this product.
I'll be happy to log in and make a review post similar to above if you would like me to. I have been a happy customer of yours with a few of these similar products.
