Today we're going to be taking a look at the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with the 4 pull flat trailer connector. This product fits certain years of the Ford Ranger. It's going to provide a 4 way flat connector at the back of your vehicle, to power your trailers signal lights. This is compatible with 5 pull, 6 pull, and 7 pull adapters. Adapters are sold separately. It comes with a dust cap for the 4 way flat connector.

That way you can cover up the connection points when your plug's not being used. The unit's going to come with the included modulight. This black box is going to ensure that your vehicle's wiring matches that of your trailer's. The powered module connects directly to the vehicle battery, and that's really going to help avoid overloading the vehicle's electrical system. The unit is designed to connect quickly and easily. All you gotta to do is locate the connection points behind the rear frame on both sides of your vehicle. Then you're going to need to plug in your T-connectors.

One side is going to go to the drivers side of the vehicle. The other connector is going to go to the passenger side of the vehicle. These plugs are going to match up perfectly with the ports on the vehicle. It's a custom fit wiring harness for your vehicle. Once you have those connected, you'll need to make a ground connection.

That's going to be this white wire right here, with the ring terminal attached to it. You want to get that grounded to a nice clean metal surface with the included grounding screw. Then you want to mount the powered module. You can do that with the double sided adhesive tape that's provided with the kit. You want to get that mounted to a nice, clean, out of the way location. Then you're going to need to run the hot lead to the vehicle battery.

The hot lead's going to be the black wire coming out of the modulight box. This is going to get connected to one end of the bundle of black wire. The other end runs to the vehicle battery. It's going to get a butt connector attached to it, and connect to one half of the fuse holder. You will need to cut that fuse holder. The other half of the fuse holder gets a ring terminal attached to it, and gets connected to the positive post on the vehicle battery. It also comes with your 15amp fuse. Goes directly in the fuse holder, and that's got the nice cap on there to keep that safe and protected. The kit does come with the necessary connectors. Again, you're going to get a butt connector to attach the power wire right here, to the bundle of black wire. Another butt connector to attach the bundle of black wire to the fuse holder, and then a ring terminal to attach the other half of the fuse holder to the positive post of the vehicle battery. Once you have everything connected, you can use the included cable ties to secure any excess, or slack in the wiring, making sure your wires are up and out of the way and protected. Once your installation is complete, the 4 way connectors are going to be stowed beneath the vehicle near the trailer hitch. You can loop it around your safety chain loop, or you can purchase a mounting bracket. We do want to recommend a mounting bracket that's really going to help keep the connector secure and easily accessible. It's also recommended that you use a small amount of dielectric grease in all your electrical connections, like the plugs on the vehicle and the 4 pull connector itself. When it comes to the maximum amperage for the stop and turn lights, we're looking at 4.2amps per circuit. For the taillights, we're looking at 7.5amps per circuit.
