Installation
This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness. The connection point for the T-connector is located towards the center of your vehicle on the back wall of the cab. The converter plugs into the gray 12-pin tow plug. Once you've plugged in the connector, insert the included fuses into your fuse panel as indicated in the instructions.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, under the bumper. Secure the connector with the included cable ties.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.
A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. Because most trailers run on a two-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your vehicle's three-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of your trailer. This power module functions as a tail light converter to combine the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights. Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.
With a ModuLite, your trailer's lights will be powered without overloading your vehicle's electrical system. Because the module draws power directly from your car's battery and bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.

Kit is not complete and does not include relay. etrailer was no help except for sending me a replacement kit. Had to troubleshoot on my own. So first of all when you are looking for the connector to plug the unit into, look and see if you have relay in relay socket next to it on back wall. If you do not have the relay you will need it. So you must purchase it yourself. I have pictures of what you will need.
Product was expected. Easy installation instructions clear. Looks professional.
After hooking up harness,I was only able to get flashers, blinkers and brake lights to work. Did not have any parking lights. After talking to tech support 2 two times I was still not able to get lights to work. Upon doing a google search to hopefully find a fix, I found multiple complaints from other people having the same problem with no fix results. I will be returning the harness. Would have given 1 star but brakes and blinkers did work.

I have heard that with some Ridgelines there are additional relays that you would need to purchase from Honda or an auto parts store to use in addition to the fuses that come with the kit. I recommend consulting your vehicle manual for more information.
The installation itself was fairly simple, the hardest thing was to find the T connector connection point in the vehicle. After that was found, it took a few minutes to install and everything works great
Works well. Fairly easy to install except for part behind rear seat back. That was tricky. Used you tube for that.
This harness kit is the only answer to solving the locking tail gate issue with my 2017 Honda Ridgeline. This kit was a breeze to install and has worked flawlessly since I installed it. I am mechanically inclined so it went in easily, but I can see if you're not so mechanical it may be a little difficult. It is great product and works just like it would if installed at the factory!

Works great! No issues.
The product is high quality and the instructions are very good. It took me about an hour to install and worked perfectly when complete. I would recommend it. The only difficult part was finding where Honda hid the gray plug for the powered converter module behind the back seat and behind the sound deadening material.. Be patient and persistent and you will find it.
etrailer is always my “go-to” supplier for anything towing related.

Works fine. I recommend it.
Very easy to install. Very comprehensive with good instructions and also video footage that was helpful. This kit is an excellent solution for owners who want 4 pin trailer hookup.

Very good. Works exactly as represented. No issues with the wiring harness. Quite pleased with its use.
The product is great and works as expected ! And WAY WAY cheaper than a Honda part ($260 !!!).
However, install instructions are poor, and incorrect. At least for my 2018 Ridgeline. I had to download instructions from Honda at the dealer. And they were even worse !!! I figured it all out without having to take half my car apart. It took 10 minutes to install. Will share instructions elsewhere.

I agree that the pictures in the instructions do not do a great job of telling you where to look for the connectors on the 2018 Honda Ridgelines. If you look at the installation manual on the product part for the Curt harness part # C56365 there are better pictures to show where the connectors are.

It does didn’t work, there was no place to plug in the module like the photo showed I can only assume that there is a difference between the Sport model and the regular Ridgeline.
SO far very poor instructions. I mean really the photos do not match my truck, they are not clear at all. They make it sound so simple, but I still cannot find the harness connector in the back seat of my brand new truck.

I have linked you to instructions for the Curt application for your 2019 Ridgeline. Curts photos and written description are much more clear and easier to understand, and should help you complete the installation. The Curt harness looks a bit different than the Tekonsha model you purchased, but they would install in the exact same manner.

Item arrived earlier than quoted.
Kit was fairly easy to install with the included directions.
Everything worked perfectly the first time.
Thanks for the on-time delivery of my Tekonsha # 118778! I just had to send a follow-up question to Mike L. as it seems like this 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector is not really designed to fit my 2019 Honda Ridgeline. As I tried to follow step 2 of the enclosed instruction that came with my connector, I had to remove the backseat, and I did not find any connector for me to plug the T-One T-Connector’s black box module. Please provide additional guidance for I am on a “stop” mode and could not proceed with the installation. Your help with this matter will be greatly appreciated.
Just finished installing the T-One Trailer connector on my 2017 Honda Ridgeline RTL-T. Installation was not too difficult. Instructions were sparse with respect to exactly how to locate and access the plug on the back firewall. Also the instructions on how to remove the cover on the plug under the rear bumper were not very helpful. A short video on these tricky things would help immensely. How and where to attach zip ties or sticky tape is not needed. Beyond that I am very pleased with my trailer connector.
The four wire trailer kit installed successfully on a 2019 Honda Ridgeline RTL-T. Installing the black box module is easy once Honda's connector is located behind the driver's side rear seat. Carefully remove plastic panel (near floor) next to where seat belts bolt to frame. Panel has two flexible tabs near top - one on either side of the seat belts - that must be carefully moved a bit to release the panel at top. Check other reviews for photos on locating the cable (it's the thicker one) and connector that plugs into black box. The connector will be tucked behind some thin insulation material. Gently pull it down to expose connector. Its cable shroud is tied to back wall at one point but there's enough slack to connect to module. Secure the module to your taste, install three fuses under hood, and finally connect up trailer cable (very easy). Don't forget to grab the boat and trailer then head to the lake.
The kit has high quality parts.
The product performs as expected and advertised. The install may be a bit trickier than the video shows based on the placement of the hookups behind the seat cushion.
The trailer turn signal control module kit worked perfectly when installed and still does a year later. Honda wanted over $200 for the kit. E-trailer's kit was less than $40 dollars. Couldn't be happier!
Great product. Horrendous instructions. The instructions have one picture to show where to mount the module. In black and white! I could not find the connector for the module for my vehicle. Called support two separate times and could not find it. Finally through another review there was more detailed information. There really needs to be 1st hand knowledge on how to install these for all different models. I figured since it was a for a honda it would show me exactly where to go. But all in all figured it out. Works fine. UPDATE the instructions with color DETAILED pictures!
Everything I needed was provided. I did purchase a tube of the connector grease and a plate to mount the connector so it wouldn’t flop around. I had found the gray 12 pin connector behind the rear seat before the product arrived so I was pretty confident that it should go well. The gray 12 pin connector was the hardest part. It was not visible so I had to tug on the cable that the arrow in the directions pointed to a little. Also just getting your hand in there to find it and maneuver was a little difficult. But everything was about as straight forward as I could hope for.
etrailer is my place to go whenever I need towing harnesses, wiring, etc. Always professional and great service.
Total installation took about 15 minutes. Access to the 12 pin connector involved removing one plastic panel under the rear seat. The connector is against the rear cab wall. Under the bumper connector dummy plug...best if the connector is removed from the frame first. It slides off the frame clip once the tab is pushed.
I purchased a trailer harness set from George and although I had some issue with the install, one year later I'm more than pleased.
The wiring at rear hitch was easy and simple. Finding the connection behind the rear seat involved removing the entire seat bottom and back to make a simple connection of the converter. Once that was done the real problem came with trying to follow the fuse placements. After consulting the we then owners manual , was able to figure it out
The connection behind the rear seat was a little hard to get to but outside of that... .piece of cake, worked like a champ.
seems to be a good product at a good price....however...your 'install video' says A) open the rear door B) locate the receptacle and plug in the device.....
There is a lot of unexplained hard work to get from A to B....like remove the entire back seat....etc.....at least 1/2 hour each way.......
