Installation
This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side interior trim panel in your rear cargo area.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed in an out-of-the-way location within your cargo area.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.
Tail Light Converter with Surface-Mount Technology
A tail light converter is built into this T-connector. Because most trailers run on a two-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your vehicle's three-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of the trailer. This converter combines the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights. Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.
Curt builds each tail light converter using surface-mount technology (SMT). This method of construction involves soldering electronic components directly to the surface of a printed circuit board. SMT eliminates the need for leads, which are used in older through-hole technology. The result is a circuit board that is smaller yet provides more routing area and that offers superior performance, reliability and durability.
Circuit boards constructed using SMT have been shown to perform better under rough conditions with excessive vibration than those made using the through-hole method. And where would vibration be more likely to occur than in towing applications? Curt converters also produce less heat, leading to increased durability and longer life. In addition, lower levels of resistance ensure better performance, especially for parts that operate at higher frequencies.
Each Curt circuit board is made using high-quality components that are pieced together in the most technologically savvy fashion, leading to greater predictability and reliability in functioning.

Does not fit my 2004 Honda as mine doesn’t have anything to hook into the green plug. Link for this product says it will match my car and be an easy hookup. It was not and doesn’t work. We were scheduled to take our first trailer on a camp trip in 4 days and after this arrived 3 days later than shipping promised, we weren’t able to trouble shoot and order any other option. Very disappointed and left in a huge jam for our trip .

Awesome and super easy to install - fits and works perfectly in my 2012 Honda Accord and confident that the install is secure. Completely satisfied with this product. Picture shows what the CURT Hitch and T-Connector allowed me to attach to the Honda - trailer has 1720 lb weight capacity - so my reliable honda turns into a 3/4 ton pick up when needed.

Great product. This one utilized the reserved tow light connector on my Accord, unlike other products (they have long green wire) that need to take off both liner to access left and right signal wires, I just need to take off the left liner and every socket you need is there.

Hell. Yes. This thing is awesome. I had a wire tap version professionally installed previously (part not from etrailer) and it was such a pain! There was a short or something in the wires and it'd kill my cruise control when I'd use my blinker... Imagine that while trying to leisurely pass a vehicle on the interstate... Anyway! This product just clips inline with your existing cables and forget about it! No hassle or fuss. I fixed my blinker cruise issue and it was super easy to install. Thanks etrailer!

The harness truly is plug and play, no splicing or cutting wires, lots of slack in the wiring loom to route it behind the trunk panel neatly and cleanly. It's worked without issue for nearly a year now. I'd recommend this product

I searched everywhere. I could find a harness for my car but not one with the plugs. I did not want to cut up a perfectly good harness in my car if I didn’t have to. The manufacture’s website showed they made them but none were available. From now e trailer will be my first stop.

Watch the video on eTrailer on the install -- the included paper instructions are pretty confusing, but installation is VERY EASY. Really nice that the connector hides in the spare tire and just hangs out the trunk when you need it (rather than drilling through the floor to store the connector outside the car). No soldering, no cutting wires, just plug in and reattach your trunk panel. The first time doing this took ~15 minutes, but now that I know where everything is you could easily do this in 5 minutes.

As outlined in my hitch review I also purchased etrailer's wiring harness. Make sure you find a video on utube that shows you how to remove the back trunk panels. It would be eazy to break the plastic mounting pins. I found one that showed how in a video on attaching a wiring harness. It was a easy as one two three. Just unsnap each of the three tailights from their factory plugs, replug each of the wiring plugs on the wiring harness and replug the factory plugs into the wiring harness.additional leads. You cannot plug into the wrong one as each is unique to its own. Place a couple of tie downs on the harness to anchor it. I placed the end of the harness plug into my spare tire well, replaced the trunk panels and job done. When I need to plug in the harness to my trailer I just lift my spare tire cover, pull out the desired length to reach the traile plug and close the trunk lid.

Easy to install and shipped quickly! Only disappointing thing is it disables your driver side reverse light if you connect it to the harness. I left it unplugged since my trailer doesn’t have reverse lights.

I received this receiver about 5:00 PM only three days after ordering it. I called the customer and he delivered his car at 7:00 PM. I installed the the receiver, the taillight converter and wiring, called the customer back and He picked it up ready to tow his trailer by 8:15 PM. That is amazing. Flawless fit and function. That is how to satisfy a customer.

2010 Acura TSX
This did not fit my 2010 Acura TSX. 95% of it fit, but I did not have a plug for the right directional (the single green wire) on my car as the instructions said. So, I ended up tapping into the directional wire in the cars wiring harness (also green) with a quick splice wire tap. That worked fine, and only held me up a bit. I don't know what model car this one does fit, but it's not a 2010 Acura TSX.

Was pretty easy to install, but the wiring in my car had a different color wire to hook to, I believe it was the one wire plug that was to hook to a green wire but mine was brown, but was not a big deal as it works.

I know that finding the connector can sometimes be tricky. Do you have the sedan or couple Honda Accord? The connector should look like the one in the picture in the manual. Can you take a picture of what you are seeing?
