Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at this pretty useful little tool. This is a folding shovel with pick. As you can see in this configuration, we have both of our pick and our shovel extended out. We can easily use this kind of like a pickaxe and a ho. So, break up the dirt and then kind of scrape it out.

If we want to change that configuration, we just simply loosen this knob here. That will allow us to fold down either one or both of these tools, so that we can then just have the pick if that's all we need, or we can take that down and have a shovel if we're wanting that. Just tighten that back into place, be easy to dig into the ground.You can also see we've got a serrated edge here that can be used as a saw. Now, obviously this isn't going to be super sharp. It's not the sharpest saw that you could probably have in your kit, but if it's an emergency situation, you're just cutting a small limb or something for campfire, this is a very strong metal and it does have those long teeth there.

So, it should do a decent job of cutting through objects for you.Then of course, this is folding, so we can take that knob back down, put these both to the side, and then the handle also, and screws to allow us a much smaller profile. Then we can put it in our carrying bag here. This carrying bag does have a nice nylon type material to it, so it's lightweight and durable. Also has a belt loop here so that you can carry this on your hip, keep it on you for when you need it. But, a very convenient little tool here.

Give you a lot of different options as to what kind of things you can do. If you're out on the campground or add hiking, it's not going to take up much space in your bag or out a whole lot of weight for you to carry. So, it is a nice little tool to have in your kit.I do want to give you a few measurements here to make sure that this is going to work for your application, so you know what you're getting. Our overall length when we have both these arms out looking at right about nine inches, just a little bit over nine, maybe about 9-1/2. Our overall length going to be just over 12 inches, I'd say right about 12-1/4 of an inch.

Then we break this down again, get it all tucked away as it would be in the bag. Overall length, it's right about 6". Our width, I'd call about four inches. For those of you who are interested in just the shovel side of this, again, it's right about four inches wide, and then the length is closer to five inches. Our pick is just over four inches, about 4-1/2. Then at its max point, it's right about an inch wide, tapers down to about a 1/2 inch down there.If you're in the market for a folding shovel or pick or both, I think this is going be a great option for you. It does feel very durable when I'm holding it here in my hand, definitely seems like something that I could use to break up some dirt at the campsite. If I'm needing to soften the ground for a fire pit or something along those lines, I think that this would be a very durable tool to use in that scenario.That's going to complete our look at the folding shovel with pick.
