Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a quick look at the Superchips dash pack plus performance tuner. This tuner is going to allow you to customize the performance of your vehicle so that you are getting all the features that you want. This is going to work with many different GM gas packages on your 2017 and newer vehicles including the Chevrolet Silverado 1500, Suburban and Tahoe and the GMC Sierra 1500 and Yukons as well as the Cadillac Escalades. Now keep in mind it's not going to work with all packages for that year and model range, so I would encourage you to come to etrailer.com we've got a fit guide that you can plug in your year, make and model.

We'll help you out and make sure that you're getting the product that's going to work for you.Now this performance tuner is going to have a lot of different capabilities to it. It's going to come with some preloaded tunes for your performance, towing, economy and others so that you can make sure that you are getting the performance that you want. You can also load and store custom tunes from an authorized custom tuning shop so that you can adjust fine tune for your setup.

It'll also allow you to adjust the speedometer and rev limiter on your vehicle. So if you want to increase or decrease that, it will allow you to do that. It also gives you manual entry options for your tires, your gears and other physical features of your vehicle.You can also read and clear diagnostic trouble codes, so if your check engine light comes on, for example, it'll show you what the system is reading, where that error is coming from, so you can easily take care of that yourself and clear that off so the light goes away. If it's something simple like your gas cap is loose or something, you can obviously fix that yourself. You don't need to take it into a shop, potentially spend more money to fix something simple that you could have done yourself.

So that's a nice little feature of these.It's also going to let you view your data perimeters or your PIDs. It includes features such as your boost, your horsepower and torque ratings and other things so you can keep an eye on those, see where you're at. It's also got the extensive data logging capability. So if you want to, you can export and view all of your logs on the data viewer software. It does have a virtual drag trip option.

It has a little system in there so that gives you your tree to count down so that you can get off the start line, gives you your zero to 60 miles per hour or a quarter mile or eighth mile track tests. So if you want to test your vehicle's performance capabilities, you can also export the digital track tickets that are created and share them online via social media so that you can brag to your friends if you want.You can also purchase additional vehicle license that you can tune multiple vehicles with this one set up. You can see it does have a nice sharp five inch screen. This is going to be a high definition color touch screen, so it's going to be very easy to operate. With the tap and go quick navigation options, you can easily pull up your favorite options or gauged layout. It's also going to allow you to customize your screen layout so you can manage your display gauge appearance as well as set warnings and alert thresholds so that you are always on top of what's going on in your vehicle.Now this does have wifi capabilities, but that is only to update it, so for the software inside it will connect to your wifi to update it. If you're wanting to upload any of the data that I talked about, you will still have to connect that to a computer manually. But as far as the updates, you're not going to have to plug it in every time you want to get an update.This is made here in the USA so you can trust it's made to the high quality standards that we've come to know and trust. We're going to get all the cables and cords that we need to get it hooked up. You got a whole pack of instructions here and a stand so that we can either have this mounted on our dash or up on our windshield so that it's right where we need it to be to view. It's a very customizable stand there. So very easy to put it in the location that we need it so that we can always see what's going on.So overall, if you're the kind of person that wants to increase the performance of your vehicle, you want to tweak some of the engine functions and different settings, this is going to be a great option for you.
