The HappiJac tie-downs distribute the weight of your camper across the truck's bed to keep the ride comfortable and the camper secure. Holding the camper taut at all four corners and from the front of the bed - as opposed to securing it on top of the bed rails, like a typical bed-mounted system - helps to reduce any front-to-back shifting of your camper during travel. It's designed to make the camper an integrated part of your truck, instead of a heavy load perched on top of it.
The included centering guide locks help you both with loading your camper and keeping it secure. When you back up to load, the locks will nudge the camper into the right spot and make sure it's centered as it slides into your bed. Then they'll essentially hug your camper on each side to hold it snug and keep it from moving. They also put a nice rubber cushion between the truck bed wall and the camper.
When you're not using them, these tie-downs will be pretty subtle. The front anchor plates will poke out an inch or so from between the car and the bed, with the brace sitting on the inside of the bed, against the front wall. You'll be able to see it, but it won't interfere with using your bed for other things. The rear anchors install on the bumper, and when you're not using them, the couplers remove from the anchors with a quick quarter-turn. Small and chrome-plated, these anchor points blend right in.

Good product. I would not recommend for large campers with stock rear bumper, the bumper will get bent. I have an aftermarket steel bumper and this makes for a good secure mounting system for the rear mounts. The front mounts on my 2022 Ram 3500 crew cab were very difficult to slide up into position, absolutely a two person job, but also very tight fit causing some hidden paint damage. Overall a good product, I like it's discrete mounts that stay on the truck between uses.

E trailer as promised. It was easy to put on and I was able to put it on by myself. It went on my 2017 Dodge Ram 3500 dually truck to carry my Lance slide in camper. I requested and received advice from a e trailer customer rep to help me before ordering the product which was most helpful. Thank you for all your assistance and follow up.

I usually don't write online reviews let alone bad ones but this time I decided to so that perhaps someone will be informed before they purchase this product. This is the 2nd HappiJac tie-down kit I've purchased and some of the critical components of this kit - specifically the "L" brackets were so badly manufactured that there was no way they would align w/the mating anchor plates behind the truck cab properly without major re-drilling of the fastener holes which would absolutely create an impact to the structural integrity of the brackets. This was issue #1. 2nd issue was one of the carriage bolts that were provided to fasten the above-mentioned L brackets was so badly machined that the threads wouldn't engage on the bolt to fasten it to the frame of the truck. All in all, this was very poor quality control of this product by HappiJac for quite an expensive item. etrailer tried to make it better and ship replacement parts out to me but they got to me too late for my planned camping trip over Memorial Day weekend. This wasn't an enjoyable experience.
Recieved the tie down kit yesterday, and the product looks to be good quality but the delivery was terrible. Not an etrailer issue but a UPS problem. Was not here at the time of delivery but small box was completly open on one end with no attempt to seal it up...had I been here I would have refused delivery but went through the box and all part look to be here so will be installing in,the next couple of days.
Only thing to note is directions should be more legible and there was no parts list. If there was suppose to be a parts list could someone send a copy to me ?
Works very well, good solid mount and guides help put camper dead center.

Great product! Pretty good Instructions. I thought the product was a little difficult to install. Would have been nice to have had the paint in threaded holes tapped before I received it. I also think it was a little over priced . Very nice finish on the brackets. Works well and clean looking.
