Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this SeaSucker cable lock with trunk lock. So if you're familiar with the design of SeaSucker bike racks, they are extremely easy to put on and take off of just about any roof. But the convenience of that for yourself can also turn into a little bit of a security concern if you're gonna be away from your bikes for any amount of time, whether you're just running into use the rest area, or if you're gonna be away from your bikes for a meal, or something along those lines. So, this is going to help alleviate that security concern. This is going to help lock your bikes to your vehicle.

So, we are going to have this cable anchor that is going to have the 9/16th inch thick by 4 inch long steel rod inside. And so, you will close your trunk or hatchback with this in the seam. So, that portion is going to be sticking out. And then obviously, you won't be able to pull that steel rod through. And so, it's gonna give you a nice, secure anchor.

And then, you can pass the six foot long by approximately half inch diameter cable lock through that opening there, and then wrap it around your bikes, and now you'll be secure. So, you won't have to worry about anyone coming along and taking off your SeaSucker bike mount or your bikes. So, this is a very simple to use lock mechanism. You can see we've got these five laser cut keys, So, we'll have plenty of options to choose from. So, we have backups.

But once you have it unlocked, all it takes is pushing it in, and you're locked again. You can see here at the top, we've got that little slide closure, so that we can keep in dirt and debris off of our, or out of our lock core. It's very easy to just put in the key, give it a twist, and you're ready to disconnect and jump on your bike. This does come with a limited lifetime warranty.
