Today, we're going to take a look at the Taylor Made 15 inch diameter tough end commercial buoy in orange. Now, this tough end buoys designed to meet the demands of the commercial Marine industry. So, nice heavy duty seamless construction. Has a tapered eyelid up the top here that allows attachment of a standard shackle to the hole, and it is a curved design right up here by the islet, prevents any chafing of your rope when it's attached. The islet diameter right here, the hole here is one and a half inches.Now, the ends on these are reinforced. They're tested to 2000 PSI tensile strength and to inflate this, now they come not inflated, so you would have to inflate it.
And to be inflated, they do require a high pressure air pump or air compressor. The recommended inflation on these is two PSI. This one we happen to fill up just to show you what it looks like. And they do use a patented, let me spin it around here, you can see right here, it's a patented tri valve design. And basically, what that design is, it requires a decent amount of air pressure to move that air through the valve, so that it will escape the positive check valve on the valve and allow the air to enter the buoy.
That's why they recommend a high pressure air pump to do that.The hole where the air escapes into the buoy is on the side of the valve tube that's underneath that check valve. So, it does require higher air pressure to help that air escape out the hole and fill up the buoy. It is a bright, nice, bright orange color. It is made in the USA. Again, the diameter on this is 15 inches.
Overall circumference is 47 inches and the buoyancy on this is 65 pounds, but that should do it for the review on the Taylor Made 15 inch diameter, tough end commercial buoy in the orange color.
