I've attached two photos, old/new. The old pads that came with the rack only lasted about two years before they quickly degraded (actually it was more like a year, I just put up with them for two :). They are basically solid goop now which you can slice with your finger nail. As you can see chunks also started to come off in my attempt to clean them, which is impossible. The new pads from etrailer seem to be made of a different material and I hope and see them lasting much longer than the original pads.
I also purchased the vinyl stickers for the metal clips to protect the car and they are working great as well. Whether they are also made of a different material and will last longer than two years (my old ones fell apart) I'm not sure but they seem great for now. Thanks for making the process easy, I was worried finding such a specific product would be hard and assumed I'd have to buy the same pads that came with the Q towers.

Right replacement part, right quick.
Two Timer hitch bike rack: Best bang for the money; great design (cradle carrier is the easiest); no play once installed & rack & bikes easily locked; looks great on my new Tacoma; transfers easily to our Forrester. One problem: the jay hooks wouldn't stay up while loading & one wouldn't stay down; Yakima replaced quickly, but replacement hooks needed replacement a 2nd time; current hooks work, although they aren't snug on the pole; hopefully Yakima has tweeked them. It's still the best bike rack & I'd buy it again.
Dry Dock hitch boat carrier (used with bar on my truck cab): New Tacoma bed liner interferred with my previous Yakima Outdoorsman towers, & I didn't want to put on a cap. Dry Dock solved the problem easily; it tilts back to open tail gate; straps minimize side to side movement found with similar carriers; it is heavy.
Product exactly what I ordered and expected. So I am happy with it. Only issue I had was delivery...but that was with USPS. As of 4/8 I had not received my package, so I called etrailer and was given the USPS tracking number (although still within by a day of expected delivery range). According to USPS tracking, package was delivered on 4/7...but I had not received it. Opened ticket with USPS and was told local Post Master should follow up within 48 hours. But without any word package was delivered on 4/11. Not sure where it had been. Again, USPS issue, not etrailer or product.

Yakima "A" Pad Part number 726265 and Replacement Vinyl Pads for Yakima Q Clips are of a better material than original. both parts fit exactly as intended.
The pads are an exact match to the originals which over the years melted in the sun and left greasy streaks on the car roof. These fit the base perfectly, appear to be made of similar grade flexible material that will not leave marks on the finish. I am very satisfied with this product and etrailer's excellent customer service.

quality and were easily installed. Great service, excellent parts,
reasonable prices. Can't ask for more than that.
The car-paint protection pads on my rooftop carrier were worn so I ordered replacements and they are just what I needed to protect my car paint.
I'd prefer to place some protective tape (or vinyl) directly on the car, but these do a good job of minimizing the contact between the metal Q-clips and the door frame.
Great replacement vinyl pads for my Yakima roof rack. Scratches are bad....vinyl pad stickers are good!!!!
Arrived quickly and works as advertised. My old ones were dry rot. These made excellent replacement vinyl pads.

I think your product is fine. However they did fall off sooner than I anticipated. I also purchased rack clips to secure the rack system to my car, and those do not work very well at all.
They seem to stick better than the vinyl pads that come with the Yakima clips.
Glad i could purchase these as mine were damaged. These fit perfectly.

All is well with the new Q tower pads! They lasted way longer than the originals as I said and have not turned into goop. I may need new black stickers for the metal clips again soon but thats it, to protect my window glass. Im super happy with the tower pads! Thanks!
