Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael, with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the stem extension for your Phoenix faucets. This is going to allow you to extend the brass compression stem for your Phoenix faucets, tub, and shower kit. It's going to work very easily. I've got a diverter valve here, so you can see those grooves are going to line up very easily.
We can just simply put our extension on there.It's going to allow us much more room there. It's about an inch and a half of additional room we have. This is going to include the one stem extension. This does have a durable, brass construction, so it's going to hold up well for us. And as I said, it is right about inch and a half, maybe just a little bit under that.Keep in mind that you will be putting part of your original stem in there.
So you're not going to get quite a full inch and a half of additional clearance. So just probably about an inch greater clearance for you with this additional stem. Extends the stem length for thicker walls.I purchased two bathtub/shower faucet kits and with one of them I needed an extension. I searched my local hardware store including where I purchased the kits from and they were out. My online search wasn't too helpful until I came across etrailer. After browsing other reviews I purchased through here. Let's just say I wasn't disappointed. Unfortunately I needed the screw and the store gave me one that was too short so I won't be able to put it on until tomorrow. Otherwise there's no complaint from me. The label was created and it was packaged pretty quickly.
