What's up everybody. It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be checking out these heavy duty hinges for your Jeep Wrangler JL for more ride. These are going to be an awesome addition to your Jeep because if you've gotten a Jeep and you're going to go to customize it, you've probably put bigger tires on it or lifted it up. And that regular tailgate just isn't designed to hold those bigger tires. So this is going to help you with that.
And they look heavy duty and feel heavy duty too. I've installed a few of these myself on some different Jeeps, and I think they look cool and I like feeling that they are heavy so I know they're going to hold up that tailgate. So if your tailgate sags a little bit from the tire, this is going to fix that. They go on really easily. You don't have to drill or anything like that.
What you'll do is you'll do them one at a time. So you'll take off the first factory door hinge. The door's still going to be held up by the bottom one. So you don't have to worry about taking that door off find for somewhere for it to go and set it down. It stays in place.
So you can just go ahead and ease the work on it. You'll remove the three bolts here in the end. Take off that old hinge. And then the two bolts in here, then replace this one, right where the other was use that same hardware, put them right back into place. Then you have two spots here where you'll get your new and eight bolts that this comes with.
Right here. They're going to slide into these two holes right in there. I'll show you here on this end one a little bit easier. It goes right in. And once you've mounted this one in place, then it's okay to go ahead and do the second one, because now this is holding the door up. So then we'll remove the other one and replace it with this heavy duty. So once it's installed, you got these holes here. There's three of them on each one, and those are going to use to mount extra accessories on the back. Coz why not You got the heavy duty hinges. Now it can handle that tire and the gas can, or whatever accessories you decide to add to it. Another thing I like is it does have a hinge that you can grease up. So that kind of goes with maintenance. Coz if you're going off road a whole bunch, you can get dirty, grimy. That door might get harder to open up and close. This is going to help you because you can maintain that because it had that greasable hinge here and that's just going to make it easier and extend the life of your tailgate and the hinges. Overall, I really liked them. Like I said, easier to install. They actually work. They feel heavy duty and think it's going to really help you out with that tailgate. Well, I think that does it. Thanks for hanging out..
