You picked out a beautiful campsite for the weekend, a nice place to pause and relax. But before you can enjoy it, you have a whole checklist for getting your RV set up at your campsite. Getting your manual retractable awning extended is one of those tedious chores. Wrestling with your heavy canopy as you crank it all the way out, turn by turn, is exhausting and takes forever. It's time to find a better way to do this.
With a power awning, there's no bother and there's no effort: push a button and your awning rolls in and out, just like that. It wires right into your RV's power so it's always ready to go. If you ever find yourself without power, there's a manual override built into the drive head that you can use to retract or extend your awning with a power drill (not included).
Note: The manual override function is not available on 2017 Forest River Cherokee campers.
Best of all, this conversion kit is a great economical option. You don't need to buy new fabric or a new roller to upgrade to a power awning. You just need these new awning arms and endcaps, and you're good to go.
No need to lug a bulky sound system back and forth, power portable speakers, or use your phone's grainy speaker to rock out on a nice day. It'll be easier than ever to enjoy music on your patio when you have speakers built right into your RV awning! These water-resistant speakers wire into your RV's stereo system to deliver quality sound right outside your RV. Perfect for parties or just lounging outside with the family.
It's hard to get your awning in just the right place to keep you in the shade all day, especially with those awnings that are pretty high off the ground. Sometimes you need just a little slant to your awning to keep the sun out of your eyes or to let rainwater run off your canopy to prevent damage to your fabric and arms. The manual pitch adjustment built into these arms allows you to do both. Simply pull on one of the arms at the friction joint to drop that corner. It comes down easily and holds itself there for as long as you need it. When it's time to retract your awning, there's no need to readjust it; the awning will slide back into place.

Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Solera Electric RV Awning Conversion Kit with Speakers. This is a powered conversion kit that's going to upgrade your existing manual awning to an electric setup with speakers. So rather than having to manually pull out your awning and retract it, this system is going to make it very simple and easy for you to extend that awning and bring it back in. These two black support arms are going to replace your manual support arms but then they'll still work with your original or existing Solera Flat Awning Roller and Fabric.
So, that will attach right there in between those arms. And it is going to provide a very smooth and quick extension and retraction as you can see. Rob there using a very similar model. And so, just with the push of this button you can extend and retract your awning. So, very easy to use.
This power switch can be mounted inside or outside your RV so you can have convenient access. And if you we're to ever lose power, you can also manually override with this little tab here. You pull that out. That gives you access to the drive there so you can easily use a power drill or something like that to extend and retract the awning if you we're to ever lose power or something along those lines. So, the included speakers are going to be water-resistant so you won't have to worry about them being outside and they are gonna provide excellent sound quality for you.
So, you can enjoy your RV's stereo system. This is gonna eliminate the need for your bulky sound systems or to power a portable speaker. And so, this is all gonna be wired into your RV. So, no worries about charging batteries or anything like that. It's gonna work as soon as you have the awning extended you'll be able to sit and enjoy both the shade and some music or the game, something along those lines, through your system there.
So, this is gonna be great for lounging or parties outside your RV. There is also, once you have these extended, obviously, I don't have them set up, but once the awning is out, there is a manual pitch adjustment. As you can see here with Dave using a similar function on a similar item there. So, you can just pull on that arm to adjust the pitch. That's going to allow you to block out the sun throughout the day. It's not gonna require you to readjust before you retract. So, very easy to use there to make sure you're getting the right angle and so that you don't have to worry about the sun being in your eyes or ruining your time outdoors. This is going to be a very simple bolt on installation, and they do include hardware here to get this mounted in place. It will wire right into your RV's power supply. And they do include instructions to walk you through the process of putting these in place. Now, these wall-mounted brackets are 69 inches tall. And so you are going to need 69 inches of unobstructed space from the awning rail straight down to make sure that you can get these put in place. It is recommended that you use some butyl tape as you're installing these to make sure that any holes that you put in your RV are going to be sealed. So, I do recommend the butyl tape that you see on the screen there. It is sold separately, but you can find it using that part number that you see on the screen. And that's just going to ensure that as you put your screw holes, put your screws in, that those holes are going to be water tight so you're not gonna have to worry about water getting in there and causing issues. So overall, a really nice system here to upgrade what you currently have so you don't have to buy a whole new system. Just upgrade those arms, get that benefit of those speakers and a very easy powered awning there so that you can extend it and retract it very easily for yourself. This is made here in the USA, so you can trust it's made to the high quality standards we've come to know and trust for products that are made here in the US. And overall, I think this is gonna be a great option for you, especially if you are wanting to make that a little bit easier for yourself and enjoy some music while you're out there. So, that completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..

Turn your crank-style retractable awning into a smooth electric RV awning with built-in speakers. This conversion kit brings quality sound right into your campsite so you can enjoy your music while relaxing on your RV patio. Made for flat awnings. The box the awning arms shipped in was in tatters, both heads are scratched and one of the speaker covers is missing. Hopefully the speaker(s) work properly.
Packaging was pretty banged up. Parts looked ok and cheaper than from the dealer for same part
Delivery was great…it came 3 days earlier than expected. I just hope the 19’ xl awning comes sooner than expected.
