Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this potjie pot and carrier for your Front Runner platform racks. Now this number three size potjie pot is going to be great for slow cooking a hot meal in the wild or just in your backyard. And as you can see here at the bottom of our pot we have these legs, and they are four inches in length. And so they're going to do a great job of supporting this pot over coals. So you're not gonna have to worry about carrying a grate or a grill.

And this (ring clanking) cast iron pot has a round bottom, as you've already seen, and sides, that's going to keep liquid at the bottom and prevent burning. So this is a very substantial pot. It's a very, very. It has a really good weight to it. It's a little over 20 pounds, so it's a very durable pot, and the lid as well, being that it's cast iron, as I'm sure you can realize and appreciate.

It does have a really nice weight to it. So it feels very rugged overall. And then you have this handle here and to help you lift it off the coals and transport it. Now, just to give you some measurements. With the lid on, measuring from the base or the ground that it's sitting on all the way to the top of our handle we're almost at 12 inches tall.

If you wanted to get real nitpicky, we're probably right at about 11 and 13/16 inches tall. And the diameter is 11 and 3/8 inches in diameter. The diameter of the lid itself is 10 and 3/16 inches. And again, I said that this pot weighs a little over 20 pounds, about 20 and a half pounds, and it has a capacity of 2.1 gallons. So that's a little information on the pot.

It also includes this carrier. And this carrier is going to do a great job of transporting your potjie on top of your Front Runner Slim Line II and Slim Sport platform racks. And the feet of the pot are gonna slip right into the carrier. So let me give you a demonstration of that. So you just slide it into these openings just like that. And so it's going to sit in that carrier, and then the ratchet strap is included to secure this pot to the carrier itself. And I wanted to put a photo there on the screen showing you what this is going to look like when this pot is secured to the carrier with the ratchet strap. And you would run that strap, of course, through the lid handle as you are tightening that strap down around the pot and the carrier. Now this carrier will work with a size two or a size three pot. And as I mentioned, this pot that's included is a size three pot. Now this carrier is going to install on the top channels of your rack with the included hardware. So the hardware is right here and then you'll just install the base of this carrier on the rack in the channels with that hardware. And again, on your screen I just wanted to show you what the carrier is going to look like on your rack when it's installed. And this picture is taken just right after removing the pot from the carrier. So that kind of gives you an idea of what that's going to look like with this carrier installed on your rack. As for the carrier, this is a black (ring clanking) powder-coated steel, so in itself it's very durable, but with that powder coat, it's going to do a great job of resisting rust and corrosion. And let me go ahead and give you some measurements on this carrier. So looking at the overall length, and hopefully you can see that there from that angle, we are sitting right at 10 and 7/8 inches long. And then the width of the base we're sitting right at five inches wide. And then the overall width, trying to line this up here as best as I can, we're sitting at almost 10 inches, it looks like, with the overall width. And then the height of just the carrier itself. We're sitting right at about five and 3/16 inches tall. So I'm gonna go ahead and just put this pot back in the carrier, and then you'll just run that ratchet around the pot, of course through our handle here of our lid. And then that's going to secure it. Instructions are included, and my instructions are a little bit worse for wear, as you can see. But the instructions will guide you through installing the carrier on your platform rack, along with a little, kinda like a recipe book, that's on these cards with a carabiner. So you can always have that handy. And it's gonna give you some ideas as what you can cook while you're using this pot. Well that's gonna wrap up our look today.
