Ellen: Hey, everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. and today we're going to be taking a quick look at the Tonno Tonic from Extang. This is a protectant spray to go on your tonneau cover and make it look like new again. It's not exactly a cleaner. It does clean out the fine dust that can get in there and cause it to look dull over time, but you want to make sure that you wipe down your tonneau cover before you actually apply this.
Just a little water will be just fine.We'll take a look at how that's going to work. I've got a wet towel here, so I'm going to wipe down this surface. You can see a lot of dust and dirt on this little mini tonneau cover. This is one of our just display guys, so it's been sitting in the shop for a few years. Got a little healthy coating of dirt all on here.
Of course, when you're out on the road it's going to be kind of similar. So, I'm just wiping this down. This is just water on here. I don't have anything else, just to give it a preliminary wipe down.Now I'm going to dry it off a little bit and then I'm going to spray this down with our Tonno Tonic on one side and leave the other just water clean so you can see the difference there. Of course water is going to do a pretty good job of getting things clean, but it's not really going to restore the luster of your tonneau cover overall.
That's why you want to have that Tonno Tonic.This vinyl material, since it kind of mimics leather, it likes to hold onto dirt and that's why it gets kind of dull over time. Now you can see, got this little patch on my tonneau cover that's been cleaned. You can kind of see compared to the edges here, this is more dirty and dull. I'm going to split it right down the middle, and on this side I'm going to continue to clean it with the Tonno Tonic and on this side we're just going to leave it as-is. So you can get a little closer look at the difference there.Again, this is just going to go into those nooks and crannies and make it shine and look like new again.
Already this is penetrating deeper than that water and really slides on nice and smooth to give us that shine. The other nice thing about this is that it's going to protect our tonneau cover from wear and tear overall. Or not wear and tear, but from dirt getting in there again, so it's going to give a little protective film, help that tonneau cover vinyl material last longer. You can kind of see already between that dry area where we just wiped it down with water, there's still a little bit of dirt in there. With this, it took off a little bit more dirt than just the water alone, so we're able to further clean that, get the rest of that residue off, and it looks really nice.If I even dry this off, like I did with the water, kind of rub it in a little bit more, I'm just using the dry side of my towel here, it still has a much nicer luster than just cleaning it with water alone. So, I think this is going to be a great addition to your maintenance for your tonneau cover, help that material last longer and look just like new, even if you've had it for several years. So a great cleaning spray to keep that tonneau cover lasting for a long time for you.This is a 16 fluid ounce bottle, so should last for quite a few cleaning cycles. Also safe to use it on vinyl, rubber, fiberglass or plastic, and you can also use this to clean off your tires as well. If you want everything to be nice and sparkly, you can spray this on your tires and let it sit there for five minutes and then wipe them dry. You can have your tires just as nice and luxurious looking as your tonneau cover.That's pretty much going to do it for our look at the Extang Tonno Tonic. I have used Tonno Tonic many times before and it works great on my truck bed cover. Product was delivered quickly and for a reasonable price.
I have used this product since my purchase of the bed cover. I like it because it protects the cover material and it is not oily like other products that I have used.
I have use this product in the past and Tonno Tonic does a wonderful job on my cover and I have used it also for my dash. Tonno Tonic gives the cover a nice shine and last a long time between washing the cover.
I have not used this product before but I'm sure it will be excellent! The packaging was very superior! I will definitely buy from etrailer.com again!

My wife & I were washing the truck the other day & after wiping it down she asked if we needed to put anything on my Extang tonno. After everything dried the cover still looks good as new, this is a year after putting this product on, only one application. This is a great product!
been using this stuff for years cover on my tuck is almost ten years old still looks great almost no cracking. easy to use! i have used etrailer before great company!

It is an extremely good product. I really appreciate the ease of opening the cover when you need the open pickup bed

I bought a new truck and a new tonneau cover and applied Tonno Tonic the first weekend, awesome product. My old cover was 12 years old and still looked like new.
