Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this replacement binder body for the Durabilt ratcheting chain binder for the 3/8 inch to 1/2 inch size chains and has a 15,000 pound working load limit. Now, this body will replace a missing or damaged ratcheting chain binder body. It is designed to work with the Durabilt ratcheting chain binders with the removable handle for 3/8 inch to 1/2 inch size chains. We do sell those binders with the handle as a complete set separately on our website and they are part number DU37GR or the DU47GR.
Now, this body right here will include the eyes, the jam nut right here, the links, and then the half inch size grab hooks on each end. The barrel length is gonna be 10 inches. The screw diameter that these eyes screw into is one inch diameter on those. And the ratcheting handle is also available separately if you want. We do sell that, it's part number DU73MR.
And I did happen to pull one of those handles just to show you, this is what the ratcheting handle would be. And it's designed to, you just open your lever, put it around the gear, flip your lever down, and then you'd have a ratcheting binder just like that. And then to remove it, just push down on your lever and remove it from the gear. Now, the ratcheting mechanism makes it very easy to tension your chains. And it is a nice small profile, which makes it maneuverable and reduces likelihood of getting caught on chains or load.
This is a nice steel construction. It's very durable. You notice it has a red paint finish on the body, which makes it highly visible. A few specs on this, again, the safe working load limit is 15,000 pounds. The proof load limit is 30,000 pounds.
We've mentioned the grab hooks on each end, they're a half inch size. And the weight of this body is right at about 11.8 pounds. But that should do it for the review on the replacement binder body for the Durabilt ratcheting chain binder for the 3/8 inch to 1/2 inch size chains..
