Hey everyone. I'm Ellen, here at etrailer.com, and we'll be taking a quick look at the Demco Hijacker Saddle Bracket. This is going to be a direct replacement part for your Demco Hijacker. So, if something happened to that original saddle bracket, it's maybe gotten worn out rusted or bent or broken, and everything else is working properly, this is going to be that direct placement that we need to get our Hijacker working again.So you can see it's going to have the pre-drilled holes on either side that allow us to adjust the height of the head of our Hijackers. So, we can get that dialed in where we need it to clear the sidewalls of .. or the side rails of our truck bed.The nice thing about this, too, is that it has two pivot points for our head assembly.

So, it can rock back and forth over this pin here, but then it can also rock on the center pin here, side to side, so it gives you that two pivot points, so that your head can adjust. Right now, it's kind of resting on there, so you can kind of see how that movement works, just with this bracket. Normally this would be the fixed point, and this actual head assembly is what moves, but it's lower, so that's how it is going to sit on my table here.If we take a look on the inside, there's going to be some polyurethane bushings that help to take up any kind of gap there and provide a little bit of cushion. So, even as this is moving to the side, it's not going to hit super hard. It's going to have some kind of cushioning there to give it a little bit softer touch, rather than it just being metal on metal.

Those can be replaced over time. It does come with a spare. So, if one happens to be wearing out, you do have a way to replace it, or if it happens to get lost, you can pop that guy in there. And again, over time you can replace them as needed.It is constructed of a sturdy steel material that is covered by a nice powder coat finish that should resist rust and corrosion for a good long while. It does come preassembled with the pivot pins and the bushings already in place.
