Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're going to be taking a quick look at the replacement saddle bracket for your Demco fifth wheel hitch. So if your old saddle bracket has maybe gotten damaged or it's just not working, right, it's maybe just worn out from years of use, but everything else is working just fine. And you just want to replace out this piece. This is going to be that direct replacement from Demco to get you rolling again. It will fit with the following fifth wheels, so you can see the part numbers they're listed on the page.

So if that's the one that you have, there should be that replacement part that you need. Let's take a closer look at it and make sure that it is going to be what you need. So you can see that it does have that pivot point. So our fifth wheel can actually move at the middle here.This is what actually is fastened down to our side plates. So this part doesn't move.

It's more this where our fifth wheel head actually mounts. So it moves side to side. And then also the head can rotate front to back on this pin. It also allows us to adjust the height of our bracket. So we'll have these holes here.

We'll have a total of four different heights, so we can place that fifth wheel out so we can get it at the right angle or the right level for clearing the sidewalls on our truck. It is made out of a sturdy steel construction with that black powder coat finish. It does come preassembled with the bushings already in place and those pivot pins as well. So pretty simple to just drop this into your base rail or into your base and get everything where you need it to be.That's pretty much all there is to it for our look at the replacement saddle bracket for your Demco fifth wheel hitch. This is a replacement for that part. They're phasing out that name, but it's still going to give you that same reliable service that you know, from the Hijacker series.
