Ellen: Hey everybody, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and we're going to be taking a quick look at the Bulldog Winch on-board air kit. This comes with an air tank and compressor to make sure that you can use it with all kinds of air accessories, whether you've got air lockers on your vehicle, to be able to lock up your transmission for front and back, or if you want to have an air horn, maybe you want to go rock crawling and you want to be able to deflate your tires, get that better traction, and then inflate them again to get road ready, or maybe you just want to be able to inflate your inflatable kayaks, or any other kind of watercraft that you might be taking around, all kinds of stuff, air tools, all kinds of things you can use with these. So you'll be able to store some air, and then also be able to inflate anything that you might need.It comes with everything you see laid out here on the table, so it's a pretty complete kit to make sure that you're ready to go. Our tank again, is going to be a 2.5 gallon tank, or two and a half gallon tank. Our compressor is a twin-head compressor that moves 4.2 cubic feet per minute. This should be able to splice right into your existing wiring harness on your vehicle.
It is IP67 rated, so that means it's waterproof and dustproof, definitely ready to be out on the road, even mounted outside without any issues. It comes with filters, mounting hardware, and some clamps for your hoses, fittings for your quick disconnects, air tube to go from your tank to any other accessories you might have on your vehicle, and then also a coiled air hose to go from the tank to your tires or anything else that you might be inflating outside the vehicle. It has a pressure switch to kick on that compressor once it gets down to 110 psi, and then it'll automatically shut off at 145 psi. And then we also get a manual gauge for our vehicle with an on/off switch, so you can manually turn on that compressor to get it going, and then turn it off again. This is again, going to be a manual inflation valve, so you will have to run air into the cab. That can sometimes be a little bit tricky to get that connected, but should be pretty straightforward once it's all in place.
It comes with instructions on how to do everything, so should be a pretty straightforward install. Also comes with the wiring with an inline fuse to keep our vehicle protected, and all of the fittings to go into our tank. This has four 1/4" inflation ports, and then two 3/8" inflation ports, and those are all NTP fittings. The tank itself measures about 20 1/4" long, and then about 8 3/8" tall by 7 1/8" wide. It has a welded-on mounting bracket. The distance from outside edge to outside edge of that mounting bracket is about 13 3/4" inches.
The length of the brackets themselves are 5" by 1 3/16". Distance between the mounting holes center to center, it's about 12 1/2" by 4". And everything is covered by a one-year limited warranty. That's about all there is to it for our look at the Bulldog Winch on-board air kit. I hope this has been helpful in deciding if this is the right kit for you. We do have some other options available here at etrailer.com.
This kit is available pretty much exactly the same, but with a bigger tank, so if you need a little bit more air up to five gallons, we should have you situated for that. So check it out right here at etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.
