Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. And today, we're gonna take a look at this Door Delete Kit for your ARIES ActionTrac motorized running boards. This door delete kit is going to let you manually operate the ActionTrac steps on your Jeep. And this is actually designed for Jeeps without doors or with two doors installed. So pressing the power switch button will deploy and retract the power steps. And CURT does recommend installing the power switches in the plastic trim piece on the door pillar.
Now, this is going to connect to the power steps' existing wiring harness, and then you'll just remove the T wiring when replacing your doors on your Jeep to restart that automatic step function. So this kit includes everything that you see here. You're gonna get the tube switches, the wiring harnesses for connectors, and then instructions to walk you through the installation process. THIS IS A WASTE OF MONEY. I didn't realize it completely overrides the functionality of the basic system. If you install this, the door sensors no longer work and you have to manually press a button every time you want these to deploy and retract. It's still sitting on a shelf in my garage, waiting to be thrown in the garbage.
