Video Transcript for Review of AceCamp Camping and Hiking- Luggage- Zipper Repair - 3777061

Michael: Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a quick look at the AceCamp FixnZip Zipper Repair. This is going to allow you to repair one worn or damaged zipper on your jacket, maybe a sleeping bag, tent, maybe even a duffle bag or a backpack. It's does have a no tool or sewing design. Basically the way it works, you loosen this thumb screw here, that's going to expand the device. You'll flip that over the teeth of your zipper and then tighten down the thumb screw again.

That's going to then install it and you can zip and unzip as you normally would. One of the nice things about these FixnZips is that they have these holes on either side for your tie tabs so that if you're in a sleeping bag or something, you can have a pull on each side to make it easier while you're in the bag or when you're getting into the bag. This specific model is designed to work with your quarter inch to five sixteenths inch tooth and coil zippers. When I've worked with this, I was going to show you working with an actual zipper and it just was not conducive for the time span of this video. It takes a lot of finesse to make sure that you have this on tight enough that it's going to push those teeth together and yet loose enough that you can actually move the zipper and it's not binding on the fabric. So it is a little difficult, takes a lot of trial and error to make sure that you have it at the right tightness to make sure that it's going to do what it needs to do without pulling off. So, just don't have enough time to miss video to actually get that fine tuning down. But I think it will do a good job for you once you have it installed, get it run a few times. I think it's going to be a very easy way to fix a broken zipper.

This product is made here in the USA, so you can trust that it's made to high quality standards. And overall I think it's going to do a decent job for you. Again, just a little finicky, is a word I would probably use as to the amount of pressure that you need to have on there to make sure that it's going to work for you. That's going to complete our look at the AceCamp FixnZip Zipper Repair. Thanks for watching..
