The Swagman XTC4 bike rack # S64665 has a shank that actually comes out of the hitch and raises the bike rack up 3 inches for better ground clearance. You may have had a situation with a mis-wired or shorted trailer and the converter is shorted out. The Rhino-Rack Universal Load Assist # RR-RUSL comes with several clamps to fit various crossbars but Rhino-Rack does not call out any factory crossbars specifically. It sounds like you had a short on your trailer's wiring that took out the trailer wiring harness you have installed on your 2009 Hyundai Veracruz and now that is why the right side taillight circuit has constant voltage. In order to determine whether or not the SportRack cargo box # SR7018 will fit your 2007 Hyundai Veracruz, you will need to take some measurements. First measure the width/thickness of the crossbars. If they are under 4 inches wide, the box mounting hardware will fit.

I went out to the warehouse and pulled the 6 and 7-Way Trailer Connector Mounting Box, # 18159, and the 4 Pole to 7 Pole and 4 Pole Adapter, # 37185, and test fit them to be sure, and the mounting holes line up perfectly.
