Wiring Harness Blowing Fuses on My 2007 Hyundai Veracruz

Question:

My Hyundia has blow three fuses since installing this harness. fuse blowes when nothing is connected to a trailer. Is there a defect in these harnesses as in the one made by Thuel which is being recalled by Hyndia if installed by them. Thanks

I spoke to my contact at the manufacturer, and he said there have been no ongoing issues with the # C56332 wiring harness for your 2007 Hyundai Veracruz. You may have had a situation with a mis-wired or shorted trailer and the converter is shorted out. You can test the converter on both sides with a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to see if it is functioning properly. While you are doing this make sure there are no pinched or rubbed wires in the harness. If the converter is shorted, it will have to be replaced.
