Troubleshooting Trailer Wiring Harness on a 2009 Hyundai Veracruz that Right Turn/Stop Stays On
Question:
I do not know which model harness I currently have no description on module going to 4 pin. I looked up under where t connectors go. still could not tell which one. My problem and question is this: The right side tail light stays on continually when I connect the 4pin connector to a trailer. I also tried a tester on it with no trailer and same. Could it be possible the ground has failed and the harness needs to be replaced.

It sounds like you had a short on your trailer's wiring that took out the trailer wiring harness you have installed on your 2009 Hyundai Veracruz and now that is why the right side taillight circuit has constant voltage. This happens all the time unfortunately but the good news is the harness did it's job and shorted out instead of allowing the short to make it's way into your vehicle's taillight circuits and potentially damaging your vehicle wiring.
You will want to first find the short on your trailer's wiring and then replace the harness on your vehicle. On your trailer look for any pinched, cut or exposed wire and fix as necessary. Once that's fixed go ahead and replace the harness of your vehicle.
For a replacement harness I would go with the Curt Harness part # C56332. They tend to be more short-resistant than the Tow Ready harnesses.
