  • Does Hopkins Custom Fit Tow Bar Lighting Kit fit 2011 Chevy HHR
  • That kit was not carried over to the 2011 HHR models but does fit the older ones like you noted. We don't have any custom fit options for the 2011 models but the Roadmaster diode kit part # RM-15247 would be an excellent option. It splices into the taillight wiring of the vehicle to allow the tow vehicle the ability to control HHR's taillights.

  • Finding Replacement Seals for Trailer Hubs When Cross Reference Isn't Available
  • Unfortunately I haven't been able to cross reference based on that number. The best thing you can do to get the correct replacement is to measure it with a digital caliper. Measure the inside and outside diameter and then we can help you find the right seal. If you don't have a caliper, I recommend using the digital caliper # PTW80157. I've linked the page to all our seals to help once you have those measurements.

  • Hitch and Bike Rack Recommendation for 2011 Chevy HHR
  • For your 2011 Chevy HHR the hitch I would recommend for you since you plan to carry a bike rack is actually the Draw Tite part # 24756 because unlike the Curt it does not require a stabilizer strap when carryin a non-supported load like a bike rack. If you check out the picture I attached though you'll see that this hitch also tucks under the rear bumper pretty nicely as well. In that price range you really can't beat the Thule Camber 2 # TH9058 which would fit and work well. This would...

  • Can the Lippert Manual Pull-Out Step Be Taken Apart and Re-Painted
  • There aren't instructions for the Lippert Manual Pull-Out Steps # LC432690 to be disassembled, but there isn't any reason why you couldn't take them apart for re-painting. It does look like some of the parts are riveted and not bolted, so you may not be able to completely disassemble.

  • Solution for Boat Trailer to Add Tongue Weight to Prevent Sway
  • Your ride quality issue is caused by not having enough tongue weight like you mentioned. You need the trailer tongue weight to be between 10 and 15 percent of the total trailer weight. Your tongue weight being 450 lbs while the trailer weighs 6,300 lbs verifies this. The best solution would be to move the axle(s) of the trailer back so that more of the trailer weight is in front of them. Unless you can come with with an easy way to add about 180 lbs to the nose of your trailer. I attached...

I have included a link to the installation instructions that shows where you would need to to trim. • Is there an Adapter to Use Class II Accessories with a Class I Trailer Hitch on a 2008 Chevy HHR
  • The issue is not exactly the depth of the receiver but the stop that is punched into it, see picture. This stop does not allow the use of Class II accessories as a safety precaution to keep users from overloading a Class I trailer hitch. I can sell you an adapter that will work with the Class I hitch, # HTAD, but it will expand the receiver from a 1-1/4 inch to a 2 inch and you still would not be able to use the Class II accessories. Also, the use of an adapter will reduce the tongue weight...
