Anti-Sway and Stabilization for 1997 Thor Residency Coach

Question:

i just bought a 1997 Thor Residency on a ford chassis with a 460 and 35 long and 17k gvw.....im not sure if its a f53 or f450 chassis or????...i can not find any paperwork to let me know. i am guessing 350 or 450 as the wheels are smaller and front wheels are tucked well under the coach body......the VIN is 3FNCMF53G7VJA***** and im hoping you can tell me????....i am wanting to get your steering and rear anti-sway bar, but im not sure which to order...the steering stabilizer seems pretty generic across the board so thats not too much of a worry, but im thinking the rear sway bar needs to be more specific application....... this big ol pig wallows all over the place, so i want to add some upgrades to help stiffen the suspension....someone has installed a front trac bar, but she wanders too much....the steering stablizer will help as well as rear anti sway for starters....thanks for your help.

Your 1997 Thor Residency chassis is the F-53. The F-450 chassis is found on the Class C Motorhomes but the coaches are the F-53 chassis even with the smaller wheels tucked further under as you stated.

I recommend you start with the rear sway bar then the front sway and then the steering stabilizer in order of importance for the most help.

The correct parts for your coach specific so you will want:

-Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar # 1139-144
-Roadmaster Polyurethane Bushing Kit for 1-5/8" Diameter, Factory Front Anti-Sway Bar # RM-4139-127
-Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer with Mounting Brackets for Class A Motor Homes # RM-RBK4-RSSA

I've attached some videos to assist with installation.
