Optronics STL70 Series High Diode LED Tail Light Dimensions

Sonically Sealed, Waterproof Trailer Light

The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.

Recessed-Mount Light

Recessed mount light

Recessed-mount trailer lights install underneath a housing or a grommet (A70GB - sold separately). These lights will extend into the mounting surface and require that a hole be cut into your trailer.

These are pretty good on my enclosed trailer. Had to replace them after about 6 years.

by:

This light was exactly like described. I purchase a lot on line and use amazon prime for free shipping. I could not find this light on amazon and was very impressed that etrailer.com had very reasonable shipping prices. Instead of gouging the cost was in line what normal shipping cost would be. The shipping and tracking were spot on and the lights were delivered as promised. A VERY good company to work with.

Still happy with the lights. Have not had any problems with them whatsoever

by:

My left blinker has been working intermently when I noticed moisture. These should not leak for the price of these submersibles.

by:

I bought these lights for a boat trailer. They are very bright and we're easy to install. I would recommend to anyone looking for replacement lights

Fantastic....no problem at all.

by:

THESE ARE AWESUM. They even look good when off !! Cant wait to BLIND some tailgaters. Drivers who tailgate boat trailers need to be tazed. I ADDED a Sequential Turn module to each side making them even better. A 3rd brake light wire controls others so only E-Trailers Optronics blink. SUPER BRIGHT !! These pull no power at all so I run 30 LED units or hundreds of bulbs all around the trailer.

by:

Trailer Tail Light- Stop, Turn - LED - Waterproof - 48 Diodes - Red Lens was used to replace the slandered bulb trailer tail light.

This Trailer Tail Light is much brighter, easer to see in the dark and or on our dusty dirt roads.

by:

It about 1 minute to install. They fit perfectly and are nice and bright. The running lights in the pictures were from my previous order. One of the pictures of the back of the trailer has the brake lights on. Let the snow dust fly!!!

by:

One of my old brake lights had failed. I found that this style of tail light is sealed and the bulbs cannot be replaced. Having previously had good experiences with etrailer.com, I gave them a call.

The salesman recommended this particular unit as having been favorably received by their customers. I bought two so as not to have a mismatched set. They work perfectly and make the trailer look like the currently produced version. The center LEDs serve as the running light and all 48 come on with the brakes. A following driver would have to be blind to miss seeing these.

etrailer.com again blew me away with their service. The new units arrived in two days without my requesting any special shipping or handling!

A year later and these lights are still working perfectly.

by:

Purchased as a replacement for an old bulb style that had burned out. This light is much brighter as a tail light and as a brake light. Light fit exactly with no issues. Wiring was standard and matched up perfectly with no need to splice wires. Very happy with the purchase and also very happy with etrailer.com. Ordered placed on a Saturday afternoon and was delivered Monday afternoon. Item was carefully packed to avoid possible damage. One of the best if not the best online shopping experiences I have had. Won't hesitate to order again or recommend etrailer.com. Thanks

The lights are still functioning well. No issues. Will definitely order from you again when the need arises. You run a 1st class online store Thanks again.

by:

Great replacement for an existing led that started losing leds after 3 years. Same socket and 5 minutes to replace..

by:

Your service is excellent but unfortunately the product did not work for me. I switched out my regular bulb lights for these LEDS which have the same plug/connection but unfortunately when my 2006 truck is off, these lights remain on and do not turn off until I disconnect the trailer electrical cord from my vehicle. Ive read some notes online about grounding for new LED's.
I have a new 2015 vehicle but havent connected the trailer yet, which may solve the problem. Can follow up.

Thank you for your review.I checked your account and I see that you did not purchase any pigtails for these lights. Normally a customer will purchase the pigtail part # A45PB. This pigtail does need to be grounded on a bare, clean and metal surface. If you hardwired the lights they will need to be grounded as well.

I have a 2006 GMC 3500 with a headache rack that takes this size stop, tail and turn signal light. I have had the truck for 10 years an gone through a few different lights - from incandescent to LED.
My truck is driven in the rain, snow, sun and fog. I depend on others seeing my intended signals.... all the time. Make no mistake, this is a work truck.
This product is the brightest one I have experienced thus far. I look forward to a lifetime guarantee as I keep my things for a while.

Thank you for your kind note. I just sold my 10 year old GMC, and bought a Toyota Tundra. Two things One - the new buyer was thrilled with the lighting and I believe that helped with the sale of it. Two - I will be in touch soon about lighting for my Tundra

Lights are fine. Easy replacement. Very bright and a nice upgrade. Worth the $ as an extra insurance policy in having bright brake lights.

But!!,

I get a bulb failure message every time I use the turn signal in my 2013 Ford Escape. Apparently this is a known problem with Ford Escapes and I need a workaround. Any LED is the issue. Trying to find a workaround.

If this light was added to the Escape itself, and not a trailer being pulled by the Escape, you will probably need to add a load resistor like part # P230004A or # P230004C.

I have several of these lights on my snowmobile trailer and I am very pleased now with all of them.

by:

Very easy to install. Lights are very bright. Had same lights but one of the old lights was burned out. Took only 10 minutes to install.

by:

I find the new LED tail lights so much more visible and easily installed. The response to my ordering these lights was speedy, and NO hangups anywhere in the process. Good job ETRAILER.

My lights fit perfectly. No leaks around the seals. And still working just fine.

by:

A perfect replacement for standard bulb fixture. The LEDs provide more safety with higher illumination. Tapping the brake at night on a deserted highway you can see the reflection off opposite direction signs! There is no doubt to others you are braking.

excellent

by:

I love the LED tail lights that I purchased for our travel trailer. Exceptionally bright and they give me a lot more confidence driving down the road both in daylight hours and after dark. The trailer manufactures should be installing these tail lights from the get go. They were easy to hookup and install and the full size foam rubber gasket makes a great seal. The picture you see with my review isn't of the tail lights.

by:

My nice new utility trailer came with crummy taillights, few LEDs and some are already out. I already upgraded another trailer with surface mount Optronics which I am fantastically happy with, after 3 years and going strong. So this was an easy choice - the surface mount model is very bright so I chose this 48-LED model and boy is it nice. Plenty of light, big contrast between the brake and running light function. The running lights even emulate incandescents with a brighter center section, which to me is just shows the design quality of these lights. I'm very happy with them and there's a piece of mind knowing that the lighting at the back is now proper.

by:

I bought the new LED tail/stop lamps and the series of thin line LED replacement Clearance lights for my 2005 Haulmark trailer. They fit and worked perfectly, are as visible as the originals (with restored color as well - the old ones were sun-faded) while drawing much less power.

They were all plug-in replacements - didn't need grommets or bases.

Now the 5 amp fuse that most cars have for a tail light will safely run all of the tail, clearance, and interior lights on the trailer without blowing the fuse.

The first time I plugged in the trailer with the original lights it blew the fuse (without even the interior lights on).

Buying these lights was the perfect solution. Now any flat 4-wire plug on any car can be used to operate the trailer.

by:

I just installed my new 48-LED tail lights on my car trailer. The install was easy. They fit great! I haven’t had a chance to get them wet or anything like that, yet. I will say that I installed the 7-LED marker lights as well. They are much brighter than the tail lights (at least during the day). Other than that, no complaints.

Works as it should

It would require prying the light fixture from the grommet, disconnecting the plug from that light fixture, and connect it to the new light fixture.
