Great price. Easy install. The trailer is quiet when the suspension is articulating around tight turns and going over speed bumps. And peace of mind knowing the worn out bushings are gone.

by:

Customer service, response, shipping and ease of doing business are all top of class. The product is solid but kudos to the eTrailer staff for helping me out with a quality issue with one of the shackle assemblies. eTrailer has earned all my future business. It's great piece of mind to know they stand behind the products they sell.

by:

Review is average because I haven't pulled anywhere yet. I just got them yesterday, they're not even on yet. They look good, beefy shackles, we shall see. Too bad this review isn't for etrailer instead of Dexter.

by:

After comparing all the other equalizer kits I picked the Dexter for the direct match of the old equalizer. it look very well made and it was a simple install about 1 1/2 hours.

by:

Nice kit, red looks cool. Seems a little better than the one on Amazon though it is also supposed to be Dexter. There are a number of decent install videos but none of them show how tricky this upgrade can be. More guidance on proper setup and dealing with stubborn bolts would be nice. For, example none of the videos actually show how tough it can be to seat the bolts completely, that takes some serious work with a small sledgehammer and deep socket

Dexter as a company is a bit of a disappointment. There are two different actual Dexter locations in my town and neither carried this kit or spare parts for it. Thank you etrailer for carrying spare parts and being more knowledgeable than the actual OEM. I believe the spare bolt/nut I ended up needing was actually a Lippert part but worked just fine.

All in all, very happy with upgrade and etrailer.

by:

Very happy with them, and had them on for about year. They are working well, I also bought new leaf springs too, plus I upgraded the new disc & rotors, electric hydraulic pump, breakaway braking system along with them, plus flipping the axels, and new shock kit. The whole job was a little bit of money, but, thinking it was well worth the effort, time, and money. She [ The Hillbilly Hillton ], a customer cargo trailer, is a real pleasure to tow around and was really made to go offroad and explore the back country. She rides like butter! : ) All parts came from etrailer, they had everything I need

by:

Custom installation on a 21 year old rig. Went Pretty well. I am pleased with the outcome.

by:

This kit came with everything that you need to install. It was very simple to install and everything actually fit. I would definitely recommend it not to mention how much better it made the boat trailer ride. I did not think it would make that big of a difference, but it definitely does worth every penny.

by:

Bought this kit last year for a tandem axle car hauling trailer. The original equalizer and bushings were just wore out from normal use. The wear was creating lots of extra vibration and noise. Thought I would give this a try. I am beyond impressed. The trailer now tows and rides as good as one of my other trailers that has torsion suspension. Vibration from axle misalignment and rattles are gone! I am so impressed I have now purchased another kit for my 5th wheel camper. Have not had the 5th wheel out yet but my expectations are pretty high after the improvement I have experienced with the other trailer. Some would argue that since my camper has shocks this is redundant. My answer to that is, "shocks and springs have different jobs". Very easy to install. Only took 2.5 hours total for both sides.

Over a year now and about 18k miles. Still impressed! The improvement on my 5th wheel just as impressed as with car trailer.

Amazing Customer Service! Thank you to Trevor for everything. He was able to help me pick out what I needed. With the New Year Weekend I had limited time to upgrade the suspension on my boat. Originally it was supposed to be delivered next week but he made it a point to have the order picked and to my surprise was able to get UPS to pick it up that night at 8:30pm. I had it delivered in 36 hours and now can get everything done and take my time. Thank you! Happy New Years!

by:

Let me begin by saying I believe overall this to be a well made product and I would recommend buying it. I have 3 recommendations if you purchase this or a competing product. #1 Test all the grease fittings to make sure they take grease and were not damaged during shipping. #2 install these with the grease fittings directed inward so as to not have to remove the wheels and tires to grease them. #3 call etrailer before ordering any item to confirm they have the product in the shipping warehouse and not off site and that they can give you a reasonable idea when it will ship. Sadly their shipping times have suffered greatly as of late.
Pros. The product, as a whole, is a well made beast and I believer will last as long as we own our camper. Other than tires this is one of the first things I'm replacing and our camper which is a 2021. When I removed the factory items yesterday the plastic bushings were already showing cracking and wear from only a handful of short distance trips. Sadly this is the junk installed on the vast majority of Rv's. I was unaware of this issue until doing a pre vacation check on our old travel trailer 3 years ago and found my equalizer had oval holes, and the plastic bushings were worn with many being worn completely thru from many miles of use by the previous owners. The hardware that comes with this kit is Mercedes to Yugo in comparison and should last as long as I own this unit.

Cons. Here's where I had an issue. As you can see from the enclose I had a grease fitting that I believe was cracked and broke while applying grease. I also had one grease fitting that would not take grease which I didn't discover until after I installed them. Hence my recommendation to check before install. I even tested by removing and using another grease fitting to test and it still wouldn't take grease. We removed the entire wet bolt and were able to force grease thru the fitting and after install it seemed to work fine. Unfortunately we somehow chipped one of the bronze bushing which I'll have to replace. My real issue came when installing on the other side and the fitting pictured broke. Luckily I was able to find a replacement at a local auto parts store and the broken piece came out fairly easy. I'm not sure if it was stressed during shipping, since all the hardware was packed fairly loose or may have been over torqued during manufacturing. The problem was is that not all the grease fitting are the same size. They took both 8 and 7mm wrenches to remove the 2 I had a problem with. That lack of quality control is the reason for my 3 star review. I planned on carrying a couple extra just in case I had an issue while on the road but since I have multiple sizes that's not worth the headache.
Again, inspect, inspect the product before installing.

My trailer was due for some maintenance cuz everytime I was returned when the axles twist there's a lot of popping crack on going on this is when you know you need to change out the bushings and shackles. But with these pins you can keep the pins greased. I have 6540 lbs inside trailer all the time. So now the trailer rides a little. Plus the it quiet things up when I now turn.

The ride is so much smoother

by:

Easy installation and made a huge difference in the ride quality. I would highly recommend.

by:

Great heavy duty upgrade kit, love the new wet bolts and equalizer!

by:

Outstanding performance parts and delivery time. Only drawback were the installation instructions that looked like they had been photocopied 20 times on the same page. Not a problem as there was enough instruction on line. Defiantly use e trailer again!

Still going strong! High quality and performance.

I just opened the box and was disappointed to see that everything was just thrown in the box. Just looking at it it looks like some of the threads are damaged from the way everything is packaged. It will be a while before I will be installing this product.

I want to say that the service from etrailers was outstanding!! From fast shipping and great price I couldn't be happier with etrailer.

I replaced my leaf springs, drums, brakes and added the Dexter E-Z Suspension kit to my Keystone Cougar Fifth Wheel trailer last year. This was my first time working with etrailer and I can’t say enough about how well it all went from the ordering to the install.
Tammie P did a amazing job with knowing what parts would work best on my trailer. Tammie also gave me updates on my deliveries that I appreciated. I had a trip planned short after I received my parts. So having someone at their end checking on arrival dates helped. In the future I will definitely use etrailer for all my trailer needs. Thanks again for all the help! Great Team....

by:

Great product. Not an easy installation but well worth the effort. Tuffest part is getting the old bolts out and the new bushings and bolts pressed back in. I found I could not effectively pound them out or in as directions suggests. I made a simple tool using a large C clamp and two sockets to press the old ones out and the new ones in. A great improvement. I certainly recommend this upgrade.

This product exceeded my expectations, with a few hand tools an electric impact wrench and an alignment pry bar, installation was a breeze. Did one side in an hour tonight, will do other tomorrow night

We replaced the leaf springs and the equalizers at the same time with products from etrailer.com. The Dexter equalizers were much better than the stock product and easy to install. The leaf springs were exactly the same as those we could purchase locally and at a significantly reduced price. Well done etrailer.

by:

My order shipped quickly. Everything that was supposed to come with the kit was there and appears to be much more robust than the original parts they’re replacing. Only issue I found was one grease zirk was stripped on a shackle bolt. Lock tighted it in and hope it will hold!

by:

These equalizers were easy to install on my 26+ year old fifth wheel. The kit included everything needed for installation, and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. They have performed well, the trailer now rides much quieter and is a great DIY upgrade.

by:

I installed the E-Z Flex Dexter K71-652-00 suspension system which was an easy afternoon task. Everything went together without any problems and was quite simple. We traveled on our first short trip of 650 miles with the new system and was great. The 30' KZ travel trailer road smoother and seem to handle better.

I really recommend this system up-grade to all stock suspension systems with plastic bushings and steel equalizer.

by:

After a year and 20,000 miles, this was one of the best upgrades in towing and ride on my 42' fifth wheel. It took out a lot of the small bumps that would open cabinet's and knock things over in the shelves. Another great advantage is the bronze bushings are greasable and do not squeak like the OEM plastic, the OEM bushings had around 3000 miles and we're already worn through, the bronze if kept greased will probably last the life of the trailer.

  • MORryde CRE3000 or Dexter E-Z Flex Trailer Suspension Equalizers?
Both the MORryde Rubber Equalizers # MR87ZR and Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit # K71-652-00 are achieving the same result. They are doing so with slightly different designs but end up with the same result. I recommend using the Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit # K71-652-00 as it is a cleaner design. It has built in grease fittings for easy lubrication as well as being able to easily see the rubber core versus the MORryde which is concealed and in my opinion will more easily trap dirt and debris.
